Quality Device!
The Temtop Air Quality Monitor is a quality device. My wife has Eosinophilic asthma, which is rather rare, but besides coughing her sense of smell is off the charts. Everything with any type of odor is offensive to her. She uses the Monitor frequently and finds it very accurate. Even our 2017 Toyota is still off gassing from the interior products, the monitor showed that, and she now knows why she is coughing in the car. We leave the window open at night when the car is parked in the garage. The city we live in during winter has inversions and the monitor correctly shows the air quality accurately when the air changes because of the inversion. Great device, priced well for the quality and reliability of the device. Easy to figure out and use. It only comes with the USB cable for charging, which they say you can plug into your computer. If you use a wall charger for the USB cable, make sure that it is the correct charger & amp. rating for the device. Be nice if the manual went into this further, rather than just say plug into your computer USB port. I did and it caused my computer to go into "Safe Mode". I found a charger from an old Samsung tablet that had the correct ratings that we use now. Overall, very handy and accurate device to have on hand!

Great Air Quality Monitor and Customer Support
Update: 10/11/2018 So after Temtop contacted me about the issue they sent me a working air quality monitor. The unit works perfectly. I am extremely happy that the issue was resolved and the I am now able to test the CO2 in my house. Great customer service and quick to respond. I have uploaded the new video for reference on CO2 portion of the monitor. Original Post: 8/28/2018 This is a great device, although; it does have some quality control issues. I have had the device for several months. I have tested the PM2.5/PM10 accuracy readings and the HCHO which are spot on. The issue I had was that the C02 reading never worked. I let it calibrate for 30 minutes outside, 3 hours outside, 30 minutes inside, and 3 hours inside. It never worked. This is why I deducted 2 stars since the C02 levels is quite important in determining a rooms air quality. I really like the design of the unit. The inner components are plastic while the outer are rubber for gripping. The unit has a usb charging port. The software has a easy to use navigation menu that is responsive. The graphs give live reading and indicate the air quality levels. Overall, this is a great air quality monitor with some minor quality control issues. I got it for general dust level detection as I have lung issues that big dust levels can worsen.
Good for diagnosing dust levels coming from outdoor sources, and from in house activities like sanding or cooking or running a poorly filtered vacuum cleaner or shop vac. It also easily gives a good asses ent of the function of filter fans or even a face mask with a little cleverness (I am a retired scientist with some background in dust measurements). The formaldehyde sensor is also very sensitive to other oxygen containing molecules, especially alcohols. It does an excellent job of discovering someone drinking wine in the house (or as a too sensitive Breathalyzer). Fun. And is thus also a good way to measure how long it takes for the air in your house takes to be replaced with outside air. The co2 sensor is fun. It nicely detects breathing people. I suspect it might indicate that a small group of people was "unhealthy" based upon the higher CO2 levels. A plus feature for shy people. Serving useful purposes to me and provides fun demonstrations on natural phenomena. The interference of alcohols with formaldehyde detection makes most random indications of formaldehyde will actually be alcohols. But it should be as indicated sensitive to formaldehyde. Its literature should discuss this.

HVAC technician/Educator: A good entry level option for air quality measurements
I'm a professional HVAC technician often dealing in home comfort and air quality systems, and I also have an instructional social media presence that often leads to collaborations and sponsorships with brands in the industry. Recently, I installed a unique mini split system in my home that has an integrated fresh air make up/ERV on the header as part of a collaboration project, and I needed a meter to take AQI readings as a follow up for homeowners/DIYers and newer technicians that I make content for. Initially I went cheap, buying a 6-1 meter for maybe $40 just to take some personal home measurements as a test, and found it to be horribly inaccurate and totally useless. I mean, so comically wrong I can't fathom how anyone would trust their own health to such a meter. Large brands, consumers and other professional technicians rely on me to provide data and insights they can trust and make decisions on (like tool purchases), so I knew I had to lay down a little money to get something decent if I was going to use any meter for those purposes. This M2000 didn't disappoint. Even right out of the box when these meters are not accurate and need 8+ hours of constant run time to acclimate, it was already providing values I typically expect to see as a professional. The following day after full acclimation and calibration (an ability you want in a meter) the meter was giving much more precise values that I felt confident and very comfortable in trusting. While I wouldn't say this meter is top of the line for extremely high-precision, professional everyday use (which requires precision tools that can cost over $1000+), this meter is an excellent option for affordability vs. accuracy for those looking to get started in air quality measurements without a steep learning curve or very deep pockets.

Great Help With Air Quality
Had an air quality assessment done by a professional service. In the report I noticed that the technician used a device like this to measure air quality in all rooms. I decided to buy this device since it was the same brand. This is a less technical model but does measure suspended particulate matter and also CO2. Only difference was the more expensive model had data download capability and measured formaldehyde - not needed for my situation. Instructions easy to follow and meter easy to use and read. Very helpful to read that the steps I took had positive results and that I can continue to monitor my house myself!! Well worth the cost!!

Stopped working today. Turn it on, it powers up then it immediately goes off - [Update:Battery life]
How convenient, just 5 days after product return window closes. The return window for this product for me was Nov 5, 2023. Now today, whenever I turn it on, it powers up ... showing the progress bar. As soon as the progress bar reaches 100% it goes off immediately thus rendering the product unusable. Buyer beware. I'll wait to see if I can get replacement. I also believe this is a minus on Amazon. The return window should be extended to 60 days if not 90 days. [Update: 11/13/2023. After my initial frustration, I have conducted additional research by reading more reviews and also looking on the wide internet. This led to the conclusion that it's a battery life issue. I had the product plugged to a power source all the while. The one time I had it unplugged to use as a portable it lost all the charge within 1 hour or so. Thereafter, when I would turn it on, it powers up with the progress bar and then powers off as soon as the progress bar reached 100%. It never occurred to me that the battery had (could be) drained within such a short period of 1 hour or less. It was only after I did additional research that I plugged it back on to a power source; and it is ok now because it is permanently plugged to a power source and, when I unplug it to use in other parts of the home or take it outside, I make sure it is plugged back to the power source within the hour. So, I can still use it as long as it is constantly plugged in to a power source or it is re-plugged back to the power source within one hour of disconnection from the power source. So, it is not truly portable. Note, you have to re-set the date and re-calibrate the CO2 and HCHO whenever the battery drains and you re-plug it into the power source. Manufacturer should implement a sound alert like beep beep beep... whenever the battery is low and needs recharge. Also, when the battery is drained, the display should be "please re-charge or connect to a power source" instead of showing progress bar and then poweroff after reaching 100%. I update my experience of the product from the original 1-star to the generous 3-star rating. Based on my experience with the product, I cannot recommend it to anyone who wants to truly use it as a portable device for extended period of time because the battery runs out quicker than would be expected. I acknowledge that the seller/vendor in this case, Elitech Technology Inc. - Amazon Marketplace, has reached out to me via email expressing willingness to work with me to discuss and resolve my issue. I applaud them for that. If the seller/vendor truly believes the product (Temtop M2000) does not have battery life problem as discussed, and that the one I received just happened to have a defective battery, then the seller/vendor should reply to this my review and make arrangement to replace the one I have since, conveniently, the Amazon window for return/refund has closed when I discovered this issue. ]

Works as advertised
I'd tried a few meters before this. They were all rubbish. This one actually seems to work correctly though. I can zero calibrate it outside, and see levels rise in poorly ventilated spaces within a few minutes as the device adjusts. And going outside and measuring it returns to basline levels. This alone is better than any of the other devices I've bought and gives me great peace of mind that it is actually likely to be detecting co2 accurately. if nothing else this device is precise and consistent. Great product, I'll be trusting Temtop from now on, they've won my approval with this product.

Grossly inaccurate!
I purchased my first Tomtep M2000 (pictured on the right) and after noticing the HCHO value would never change from a 0.000 reading, I reached out to Amazon for a return. When the replacement showed up (pictured on the left), the HCHO worked but there was clearly huge discrepancies between the two meters. No matter how many times I tried recalibrating them, they each would show grossly different readings? Which one do you trust? Either one actually accurate? Obviously the CO2 readings were a little of a concern, so I asked a friend of mine whom is a licensed plumber, if he could perform a CO2 test in the same location. He came by, used his own certified equipment, and the results were 480ppm for CO2! No where near the two values the Tomtep units provided. I don’t know if I just got two bad units or what the deal is, but as it stands, these two units are not accurate, not to mention the one that doesn’t measure HCHO straight up defective. Oh and for those wondering, the time / date difference was due to the fact that I had set one, and not the other. Take what readings these unit give with a grain of salt.
