Chris Reeve Small Sebenza 31

I don't know if Sooner State Knives is just into making people's day with nice surprises or what, but this listing claims the knife will have a manufactury date of sometime in 2020 with S35VN blade steel.I never thought I'd own a Sebenza (or any CRK knife) of any size because the waitlist to buy a Sebenza direct from CRK's website is between 4 and 7 years and I can't possibly know if I'll be able to afford a $500+ knife when CRK finally "gets to" my order - I'm not capable of budgeting a half-decade in advance. So I was blown away when I saw that there was a Small Sebenza 31 available for immediate purchase on AMAZON of all places.Once I verified that Sooner State Knives is a legitimate CRK authorized dealer (on CRK's own "Authorized Dealers" webpage) I pulled the trigger on the purchase thinking I'd be receiving a knife that'd been manufactured in 2020 in S35VN steel (because the product listing says those things). I figured SSK was sitting on some "new old stock" and had decided to sell it now that the knife market has absolutely blown up in the past few years. With that said, my order was placed on February 5th....on February 8th, I received a brand-new Drop Point Small Sebenza 31 in Magnacut that was manufactured literally two weeks prior on January 25th, 2023. Magnacut! Not only did I get an authentic Sebenza 31, I got one in THE GOD of knife steels! I feel very privileged indeed.The only thing that was maybe a little strange about the purchase is that SSK included a religious pamphlet in the box. It surprised me because this was my first time doing business with them, and it’s risky (and maybe a little presumptuous) of ANY business to preach (for lack of a better word) to a complete stranger instead of keeping the transaction strictly professional.Would I do business with SSK again? Absolutely. It was a VERY pleasant surprise to receive a knife in MAGNACUT that was made just 2 weeks prior to delivery (while expecting a knife in S35VN manufactured in 2020). I’ve never had a business of ANY kind (on Amazon or elsewhere) *surprise me* with a substantially better item than what was advertised. Businesses want to make profits, and SSK could’ve definitely made more than what I paid if they’d sold the knife they sent me on the secondary market.So, slightly surprising inclusions aside, I think anyone that does business with SSK will be happy they did. Even if you don’t end up being surprised when you receive an even better item than what you paid for, I have no doubt that a small business like SSK is going to make sure that at the very least you’re *going to* what you paid for.The good stuff was all there in the box, and the knife hasn't left my pocket since. I can’t recommend the Sebenza 31 nor Sooner State Knives enough.I look forward to gifting the thing to my nephew 10 years from now!

Been wanting this knife for over 6 years now. Never really thought I’d be able to purchase it without a credible source. This knife is perfect and will last the test of time. The finish is beautiful and with a little lubrication, the blade extraction is smooth! Dont expect this knife to be fidgety though. This knife has a stiff tolerance on the blade and isn’t something you can just flick open. It’s designed that way on purpose. It’s designed to instill confidence on every opening and deploying the blade with intention/purpose.

Very impressive knife. The build quality is second to none and it’s apparent from the moment you hold it.. built like a tank! Bank vault lockup: zero play of any kind. Perfect centering, butter smooth action, etc. It’s not a fidgety knife at all but if you are looking for a serious tool that will last a lifetime, this is a fantastic option. Sooner state knives was also great! Was pleasantly surprised to see I got a knife with the “new” S45VN blade steel as opposed to the S30V that was advertised

Imagine my surprise when I opened the box and it was magnacut. Simply holding in your hand exhumes quality. My first Chris reeves Selena. Awesome

Finally pulled the trigger. If your reading this you know what this knife is. The only bad side is I let my so be careful who you lend it out!

Best knife I ever owned! Everything speaks of quality. Sooner knives have been awesome with their service! Will be buying another Chris reeve from them again!
