Cute and cozy game
I love this game. I have been playing the Harvest moon series since I was a kid. I love that the game play or story line is longer than the previous harvest moon games. The graphics are cute and cozy, and I love playing before I go to bed. It's such a fun and cozy game. I also bought the game for my sister as a Christmas gift.

Arrived new, all there & worked great.
Fun updated game, quality copy! No surprises from a brand new copy. Worked immediately, wasn't swapped out with plastic or a code, nor empty like many games on Amaz seem to be these days. Love quality physical copies!

one of the best "harvest moon" games
A few years ago Marvelous (developer) and Natsume (USA publisher) broke up. Natsume kept the Harvest Moon name and Marvelous changed the Harvest Moon games to "Story of Seasons". Because of this, the true "Harvest Moon" games are called "Story of Seasons" and the Harvest Moon games that Natsume makes are junk. Friends of mineral town is one of the best of the series. You farm, raise animals, explore, fish, and make friends. You meet the love of your life and can even have a kid. It doesn't have deep plot, but it's fun getting to know everyone in the town. There's a lot to do, but it does feel like a DS size game was brought to the big screen. It doesn't feel too small, but it does feel like it could be bigger on the Switch. The graphics are awesome as long as you don't mind the chibi style. The sound and music aren't bad, but I didn't find them amazing. The 3d is really well done and the animals are super cute. The 2-D portraits look really well-made, but I kinda miss the gameboy advance portrait style. Oh and I really like that you can change your clothes because I don't think you could do that in the DS version! Now everyone is going to want to know how it compares to Stardew Valley, and I think Mineral Town more structured and focused. There's not as much variety here, but everything works really well. It's not just do whatever you want: you need to collect the wood and use your tools and befriend the sprites. Mineral Town is a little more grindy. (If you're looking for the most casual experience, definitely choose easy for Mineral Town.) I think Stardew and Mineral Town have a different feel, but I like them both. Overall, it's a great game. It plays well and definitely feels complete. The previous Doraemon Story of Seasons felt rushed and incomplete, but this is definitely a full game. It makes you work the farm, but I find it rewarding to do so.

It's a great remake of a beloved game
This game is good, the events are cute with the bachelors/bachelorettes. The horse races are kinda fun, I wish there was a little more to the cow and fluffy festivals. I also wish the horse wouldn't take nearly a YEAR to grow into adulthood. Word of advice for anyone irritated about the mines, gifting the Harvest Goddess is ESSENTIAL unless you're some type of masochist who has no problem with the lvl resets. Overall it's a great game, it makes an improvement on the last in terms of how farming works, to me atleast. Buying this game with the expectation of the original with just improved graphics will only upset you. Think of this game as an extension of the thing you're nostalgic for, instead of a carbon copy of it. I also miss rival events in HM/SoS games but it's no longer there and I'm not going to beat a dead horse about it.

It comes with a game manual
It's a great game. It comes with a game manual that adds value to the game itself. No issues so far.

A Lot of Improvements - The Best of XSeed
I remember playing the original one - Back in the 2000s when I had ZERO access to a console and ZERO money to buy games (I was like 10 LOL) and my only way to play was to trust emulators and roms I could get out of the internet. Friends of Mineral Town was BY FAR one of my favorite Harvest Moon Games and I always dreamed of having the physical copy (even though it is way easier to play emulated games as you have ways to save and cheat which the physical copies do not allow). Whenever I heard this game was coming out I KNEW I had to buy it, for my old self - I am an adult now, with adult money that allow me to buy adult things - and for the sake of preserving such great memories of the hours and hours I spent as a child on Mineral Town. I was so excited when the game arrived ... and even though we are locked down due to COVID (because living is more important than going out, to my perspective of course) I felt happy to be able to go back to Mineral Town. The game itself has a lot of improvements (well deserved) compared to the previous versions (like the fact that now you can actually hold more than 9 items without the need of a basket) and some changes that I was not so happy about (like the fact that the harvest spirits now have decent working hours instead of working until 9:00 pm as before and most importantly that they do not say "budum" which was basically what make the harvest spirits who they were) but in essence it does give you the same cute and amazing experience that the old versions did provide. 10 out of 10 will buy anther copy if I ever lose the gamecard. And the cow is cute.

great farming game
had a ton of harvest moon—now story of seasons games when i was a kid. never got to play this one though so i was excited to see this release on switch. its a great game that’s really engaging at first but then kinda drags in the later years. before playing though, i recommend reading all the tips and tricks, itll save alot of time. also don’t order any special editions from amazon. i ordered the special edition of a wonderful life and the box came torn, ripped and smashed. zero consideration from delivery.

The story is about as straightforward as possible, you play the of an ambitious young farmer who inherits a large and neglected piece of land. Gaming consisting of farming and achieve goals, and interacting with the various townsfolk. If you love farming games, then this is worth the consideration!
