Crystal Clear Protection
I've been knee-deep in a backyard makeover—painting old metal planters, sealing some wooden birdhouses, and sprucing up plastic garden stakes—and nothing seals the deal like a reliable clear coat. That's where the Krylon K05562007 COLORmaxx Acrylic Clear Finish (Satin Crystal Clear, 11 oz) comes in. Grabbed it for about $7 at the hardware store (often $8-10 online), and it's become my go-to for that final protective touch. If you're tackling DIY projects that need to withstand the elements without losing their shine, this satin spray delivers pro-level results on a budget. Five stars—it's tough, versatile, and hassle-free. What I Loved Most Flawless, Non-Yellowing Protection: This stuff goes on smooth as silk, creating a durable, satin finish that locks in your paint job and guards against UV rays, moisture, and scratches. I coated my freshly painted planters, and after a month of sun and rain, they look brand new—no fading or discoloration. It's non-yellowing, so your colors stay vibrant, whether indoors on craft projects or outdoors on furniture. Easy Application and Quick Dry: The "spray any way" valve lets you hit tricky angles without drips or runs, and the big-button tip makes it a breeze to control. Dries to the touch in under 20 minutes and fully handleable in an hour—perfect for when you're juggling multiple pieces. One can covered about 18 sq ft for me, with even coverage that doesn't leave brush marks (because, duh, it's spray!). Indoor/Outdoor All-Star: Works like a charm on wood, metal, plastic, glass, and more—I've used it on everything from kitchen cabinets to patio decor. Low odor means no headaches during indoor jobs, and it's rust-resistant for metal pieces. Plus, the crystal-clear satin sheen adds a subtle elegance without being glossy-overkill. Any Downsides? In high humidity (above 60%), it can take a smidge longer to cure perfectly, so I learned to check the weather for outdoor sprays. And like any aerosol, shake it well—otherwise, you might get uneven spots. But honestly, these are minor; it's way more forgiving than other clear coats I've tried. Bottom Line The Krylon COLORmaxx Clear Finish isn't just a topper—it's the unsung hero that makes your projects last longer and look sharper. For crafters, homeowners, or anyone fighting the elements, it's an essential at this price point. I've already stocked up for my next round of holiday crafts. If you want protection that doesn't compromise the beauty, spray this on—you won't be disappointed! (Pro tip: Apply in thin layers (2-3 coats) for the smoothest satin vibe—patience pays off with that glass-like depth.)

Yummy Pistachio and Meringue Colors!
Every winter I go around my yard and renew the paint on my yard objects. This Pistachio is absolutely yummy!! It works so well covering up all the old green and makes everything look so bright and happy. They will all make it through the winter now and into next summer! I also purchased the Lemon Meringue which is also a beautiful color and goes on well and covered up all the old paint. Both dry quickly too. Thank you

The right size can for my use, and a good price.
I put 2 coats of gloss paint on the underside of the garden mower deck every year. One coat does not make it smooth enough. One bigger can is not enough for 2 coats. With 2 of these 12 oz cans, one can for each coat. And no clogging between coats. Putting 2 coats on, and getting the surface smooth and slippery, reduces the amount of grass collecting, and scraping between mowing.

I bought this spray paint and primer combo in both fuchsia and blue to decorate wooden letters for a party I hosted, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! The colors turned out so vibrant and glossy—exactly as promised on the can. The finish looked professional, not streaky or dull, and it made my DIY letters look like something I bought pre-finished from a store. The paint went on evenly, covered the wood beautifully, and dried so much faster than I expected. Even with multiple coats for that extra shine, the surface stayed smooth and bubble-free. I used it indoors with plenty of ventilation. It performed well in that setting. What stood out most was how durable the finish felt once dry. It didn’t chip or lose its gloss, even after handling the letters during setup and cleanup. Guests continuously complimented on how the lettering was so polished. TIPS FOR BUYERS:: Be sure to shake the can for a full minute before each use and do light sweeping motions from about 10-12 inches away. It gives it a flawless drip-free coating every time and really brings out that glossy finish. If you want bright, professional-looking results without complicated steps, this spray paint and primer is a total winner. I’m already planning to use it for my next round of DIY décor projects.

Krylon needs to examine spray nozzle !!
The positives are that this pumpkin color is exactly pumpkin color when you spray it on a blow pumpkin mold, Not too orange , not too light. The negatives are a little pricey, and the lid is almost impossible to get off no matter how strong you are. There are two places to squeeze the lid simultaneously with your fingers, but it will not come off, and I have read reviews where it took a butter knife to get lid off. I too used a screwdriver flathead to get this lid off, which is quite ridiculous. Continued negatives: *****Most importantly this paint drips. I followed the instructions exactly as I read them. Hold the can 8 inches from the pumpkin Every person knows to hold the spray can away and not too close for a wide width spray/ coverage so not to saturate the product you’re painting. This is not my first rodeo spray, painting things. This went on heavy all by itself in certain spots while spray painting right in the middle of beautiful coverage out of nowhere it just squirts heavy. I shook this can for 4 1/2 minutes hard So it would be completely mixed. And I made sure to shake it 10 more seconds when I stopped spraying and to begin to spray again. Went on beautifully as I’m spraying and right in the middle of my beautiful spray It went heavy and dripped on six different spots. A paint shouldn’t do this. It must be the spray mechanism. I have read this complaint before for this exact spray paint in the can. I will tell you this, it is visible where I took my finger to get the big drip marks leveled out and sprayed over it when you’re about 3 feet from the pumpkin. If you’re further away 5 + feet it’s not as visible to anybody else. But what if this was a serious project that you kept indoors or outdoors were visitors and friends would see the project up close. I think this paint manufacturer of the cans and nozzle better explore better options.
