BlackburnDayblazer Front and Rear Bike Light Set

I bought this thinking the 2 hour burn time on blaze setting was a bit aggressive, but, they were way off. I only got 1 hour at highest setting. So, i set it to an equivalent burn time of my cateye volt 800(I bought the Blackburn to compliment my cateye volt 800 so I could have more light night riding). The cateye far exceeded the burn time of the Blackburn when set to medium and almost the low setting.Not sure what kind of testing they did to publish those times, but, hope they revisit them.Unfortunately, cateye stopped manufacturing the volt 800.With that said, the taillight that came with the head light is awesome. I use that in conjunction with another taillight for added saftey. Ive been on several night rides and have not had to charge the taillight yet.

The Dayblazer 65 (rear) and Dayblazer 800 (front) by Blackburn came as advertised. No items were missing including smaller parts such as the charging wire, shims, and camera style mounting part. Brightness is more than adequate to be seen in daylight and is as advertised. Both lights have three modes, each with a different longevity after a full charge; all modes worked fine. Charging is easy (both). A charge has lasted as long as specifications up to 3 hours; have not done a 6 hour ride using them as yet. The front 800 light's rubber mount is actually easy to put on and remove; not sure why some might struggle with it. Just swivel the light position side-to-side, attach the light, then swivel front-to-back. The swivel point is sturdy and you can tighten the flush nut with your multi-tool were it to become loose, or if you want to use the camera mount. I purchased an extra rear 65 light, one for the bike and one for the back of my helmet.

The mounting strap is near impossible to remove so that the unit can be charged with a USB cable. The first time I attempted to remove it so that I could charge the unit, the strap broke.

The set works well on my bike so I bought identical set for my wife’s bike. Mine takes an extra effort to turn back light on (really have to depress button). Every other ride I need to recharge. My wife’s light came with a split usb cable so I can charge both front and back lights at same time. Mine came with a single cable. The lights are bright enough and I use during daylight hours. I have not ridden at night so can not comment on brightness at night. A good light set for safety.

The light itself is nice and bright, but in less than a year, the strap broke, rendering it near useless (replacement straps are out of stock everywhere I looked). I'll have to jerry rig something. As others have mentioned, the design is also flawed in that if your handlebars are curved (like my north road handlebars), it's difficult attach the light.

Nice set up and the double micro USB charger is a nice touch. You can charge both lights at the same time using only one outlet. The lights seem secure when mounted, but I haven't had a chance to see how well they hold up off road.

Top quality, I own several of these sets. They last quite a while on a charge. Simple to tell when it’s time to recharge. They mount almost anywhere. You will love these lights.

So I've been using these for a few weeks now and I am mighty impressed with these lights. The picture I have included is on the lowest solid setting and its still pretty damn bright. The rear is equally capable and will announce your presence to even the doziest driver.

I purchased these cycle lights as a Christmas gift for my husband. He is very pleased with the quality and illumination given by the lights.

Excellent bike lights for a reasonable price. Very bright & very strong beam on the front light & a clear & bright back light. Very solid build & easy to mount. You won't find better in this price range. Highly recommended.

Absolutely the best light I've ever seen! So strong that I use it as a torch when I am working nights. Easy to remove, quickly chargeable and great variety of functions.

Las luces duran un tiempo razonable y son muy potentes, lo cual es genial para sentirte mas seguro en tus salidas en bicicleta.Sin embargo, a la décima salida fui a ajustar la luz delantera y se me partó la goma como se ve en la foto.Además no veo como ponerme en contacto con el vendedor para reclamarlo ya que lo compre hace más de 2 meses.
