Tough as old boots. Great thickness and length of staples. If larger rocks resist the pounding in, you may have to pull up and reangle the drive into ground. Only rarely does the staple bend out of shape. I had a red lava rock path that I removed and put down artificial grass with felt backed poly tarp and got the staples installed easily with a hammer pounding. This was a reorder as I bought them before and love them. I decided to put down artificial turf in my yard to prevent me to weedwhack very steep hills going downward. The gauge of the metal is super functional and the design is pro level. They are more expensive than box stores. Thick metal with 6" staple length. To ensure your artificial grass is stable to prevent slip and falls. Place staples every foot in square layout. Love them!!!

I gave these staples a try instead of my normal steel ones that rust. In my picture you can see the difference between the two. These were a much better value with the same gauge thickness. They were easy to sink into the dirt and held my landscaping fabric. Smiles 😊 All Around.
