The item was exactly as advertised. Perfect for gong fu tea steeping. The edge of the gaiwan flare out enough where you don't won't scald your fingers if held properly. The lid to the gaiwan sits well enough where it is centered yet when tapped and tilted, leaves the perfect amount of space to pour out your tea without additional steeping time due to lack of flow. I would certainly recommend this gaiwan to anyone who is starting to get into gong fu style tea steeping. The qualify of the porcelain certainly exceeds the its price. Beautifully crafted and designed.

This is my first gaiwan, but so far it is working great. The porcelain is high quality and I love the pattern. Perfect size for gongfu brewing.

This gaiwan is only the second I’ve ever owned, but I find it to be excellent. For the $13.80 I paid, I got a perfectly sized gaiwan for one (or two very small cups) that is easy to hold and pour. Its high and narrow lid and widely flared mouth keep your fingers away from your hot tea, and the lid is easy to position for proper pouring while holding the tea leaves in. I also dig the art, which is clear and attractive. Importantly, it’s what I expected from the pictures on the listing.Edit: 7 months after buying this, I'm sitting here brewing and drinking tea and I had the urge to come review this gaiwan to say how suberb the experience is. Welp, too late, I already reviewed it and gave it 5 stars. If I ever drop and break this one, I hope they're still available so I can immediately replace it with the same one. Ten stars!

I will be returning this gaiwan not because there's anything wrong with it. It's absolutely beautiful. But in the description it states that it's 180 ml or 6.3 oz. It's larger than that . The brim it's more like 8 oz. Just two big for my needs but very nice.Update : I will not be returning this gaiwan. Just too beautiful.

This is the perfect size to brew a cup in. It's pretty hearty too. I dropped the lid once and it didn't even crack. (This is not me saying it's unbreakable) it also has a nice weight to it so I don't feel like I'm going to break it when I miss Judge my strength.

It really is a great Gaiwan! Great fit and finish with top to cup. I ordered a couple of others for the same price that were not near as nice from another manufacture. This is a great value.
