Either poorly refurbished or stored near the ocean.
Worked for about 1 day. Stopped sending out any IR signal all of a sudden so asan electrical engineer I diagnosed. First the screw binding the front and back plate was rusted so much I had a hard time getting torque. After that the inside was corroded to the point where I had to wire brush the battery contacts just to make a circuit. That's when I saw a loose capacitor bouncing around the housing due to corroded contacts. TRASH
