I bought this tape along with two other brands of very similar cloth tape to use for wrapping automotive wiring harnesses. This should not be compared to hardware store cloth friction tape. While not precisely identical to the original factory material, it has proved to be an acceptable substitute. Howie's immediately became my favorite of the different brands I tried. It adheres readily, wraps evenly and conforms well. Appears to be durable as well. It is difficult to remove if you make a mistake! I did not wrap any hockey sticks.

So, obviously I didn't use it for a hockey stick or anything related to hockey. Instead, I used to to protect my bat grip and to add a flare to the bat without needing to buy a bat taper. This thing works wonderfully! It adds the perfect flare without it feeling like a rubber knob at the end, and was easy to put on! It holds up very well, and feels very high quality! It sticks to itself without the need for electrical tape, but I use it anyway to secure it better! I barely even used 1 roll for 4 bats, and still have plenty left over, so it was definitely worth the price! Highly recommend it for whatever sport you plan on using it for!

Perfect for shin guards. Two wraps around hockey socks and never an issue. Easy to tear as well. Just toss in hockey bag and go.

We LOVE Howies Hockey tape! My son has become a hockey tape snob and turns his nose at any other brand. The tape sticks great and stretches for a tight fit.

Easy to rip and stays put. I could block a 100 mph slapshot and my shinguards would still be in place. Strong chance my legs would break before this awesome tape would. Good value for the money.

Works as expected.

We have tried other knock off brands of hockey tape and it doesn’t hold up like Howies hockey tape. The cheap stuff tears quick and this stuff is thicker, easy to use, sticky, and is our go to for all our sticks. We have three hockey players in the house and this does the trick for all our sticks.
