Is the plug flat, with the cord coming out the side, or is it the regular kind? I need it to be flat since it would be behind a dresser.

Regular, non flat. I purchased for the cord length, and wanted the flat style plug as well. but decided that the length was more important for my use. I wish they would make flat plug options for all styles.
