Maybelline Great Lash Limited Edition Green With Envy Mascara 12.7 ml

This was my first experience trying a colored mascara. I usually use the Great Lash mascara in blackest black, and I absolutely love it. It's such a great value for the price too! So, I figured the colored mascara might be fun to try and it was, but fell short of expectations.It arrived in a large package, and was securely wrapped in plastic so I knew it was brand new and hadn't been opened before, that was nice. When you pull the wand out, you can clearly see this mascara is completely green, not a black with green hue, but just totally solid green. I would call it a forest green. I think it would be better if it was on the brighter green side, but this color happened to match my eyes so that was promising!Well, I applied about 6-8 coats per eye, and couldn't really see it at all. I allowed it to dry and applied a couple more coats, and you could kind of see it at first, but only if you're really looking in the sunlight. Keep in mind, my eyelashes and hair are very dark brown, in fact, my eyelashes are closer to black, so this mascara has a tough job on my eyelashes! I think this would look stunning on someone with lighter colored lashes, but it just didn't "pop" for me. I'm not going to return it because it's inexpensive and still does a nice job in terms of just using as a regular mascara.I will include pictures, but these were taken indoors, so it's really hard to tell I've even used it. I think this is actually an accurate representation because this is what people will see when they look at me and I'm not under a spotlight or directly in the sun. So, yeah, you can't really see it on me. BUT, take a look at the shape and length of the lashes, you can see it still does a nice job (also, this is a couple hours after the initial application, so you can tell they held up nicely).

i was hoping this would be more emerald than kelly green, but alas it is a lighter green. i have to figure out the color eye shadow to wear it with as to make it look chic and not garish. i am a big fan of maybelline mascara (its the only one i have ever used) and also of colored shades. i own the purple, pink and royal blue ones as well. the green is my least favorite so far (its definitely more weekend than work!)overall good product, but color is what sways me on this one.

It was BRIGHT green almost like Crayola Green and not a color I am used to after wearing deep green eye liner for many years. It did however help fill in the base of my upper lashes nicely with my liner and make my eyes look more open. I wear this day or night and only coat the tips of my lashes with my normal brown/black to add the false lash length look for the night events. Other than the color being brighter than what the label shows, I like it and think I have a new regular wear. It is easy wash too as a given for all non-waterproof forms.

Prompt service from seller; 5 stars for timely shipping. The mascara is thin and does not add volume or length to lashes. I like regular Great Lash, but this is not the same formula. It runs very easily. You need multiple coats, which turns clownish fast. I layer over black mascara, but it doesn't lend as much color as I'd like.

I have green eyes. I usually use the Royal blue . I saw this and thought well lets see.I love it. Its suttle,so if your looking for a more bold color this isnt the one.It gives my greenis a nick classy look. Its also not a mascara for length. I have nice lashes so it works good for me. Compared to other Great Lash mascara's--even the Royal Blue--this color is dry and thick. Takes a lot of effort to apply.I've taken to using a black mascara base and using this green as a top coat. That works pretty well.

Six different colored mascaras. All pretty. Nice colors. I like. Initially I saw these different colored mascaras selling at CVS Store last year near the Halloween time or at the end of fall I really don't remember, but waited too late to purchase them. So as always I checked my "go to" Amazon, and tadaaah! Here they are! They were much cheaper here than what I remember at CVS. I bought all six colors (green, teal, purple, pink, royal blue, and berry). I mainly wear these colors on the outside corner of my top lashes, and if on the entire lashes I apply it veeerry lightly. Even then, the color is still rich. I'm not that bold, and it's not needed for everyday wear. That would be a different job. I won't be reviewing 6 times for six different colors of this Maybelline mascara after this review, I'll just give the other five, 5*****.

Didn't even know that mascara came in so many colors until my daughter mentioned she could no longer find her favorite BLUE mascara. AMAZON, here I come ---> they have GREEN and purple and blue mascaras. GREAT !As a woman of a Certain Age, I find this much easier to apply than a eyeliner - which never really worked for me. I tell you when the sun hits my eyes, that green mascara is there and it looks as if I have on both an eyeliner and a mascara. Seems to give me just a bit of an updated look.I have purchased additional Green mascaras for me. I don't know if my daughter has tried hers. Will update when she shares. This woman of a certain age is happy with this product and, it doesn't make me look silly !
