It’s basically what you think it is. A nice oil for your blades that’s ment for them and it’s not over priced or anything it’s just a very good product that everyone needs and it’s a pretty large bottle so you won’t run out anytime soon.

Problem Solved: Safely Sharpen and Protect your High-carbon, Food-use Blades.
The size, consistency, and utility of this product are "just right" for any knife not made of stainless steel -- and any knife that will be used for field dressing game or food preparation.The eight-ounce clear plastic squeeze bottle is large enough that I will not need to constantly re-order the product, yet small enough that it can be easily stored. And the oil has the correct consistency/viscosity for blade sharpening and preservation.My main reason for purchasing this product is that I have often worried about the down-side of sharpening my field-dressing knife with light machine oil -- and similarly, I have some older kitchen knives made of high-carbon steel -- they take and hold a razor edge, but sharpening them and coating them with petroleum-based machine oil carries with it the risk of contaminating food.Time for a change then. And I have found that this product represents the best solution I have found to both of those potential problems.When I unfold my (stainless steel) hunting knife for the purpose of field dressing game, I am now reassured that it has a razor edge produced by a process and lubricant approved for food use. And when I reach for an older, high-carbon kitchen knife, I am comforted that it is safe to use, and that it is also razor-sharp and free of speckling caused by oxidation.Wish I'd thought about this problem -- and known about this product -- earlier!
