Nice grip
Very nice small grip for the J-Frame. Works perfectly. Perfect for carry.

Powerful Laser
This is the set of grips for my S&W 642 .38 Air Weight Revolver. Installation was simple, excellent fitment, the laser did require a bit of slight adjustment. However once dialed in, my grouping were VERY consistent. No issue(s) with any of my holsters.

Good Grips
Work nicely, easy to install, one of the two batteries kept popping out so I placed a piece of tape to secure, worked out fine. Overall, Crimson Trace make quality grips.

Good But Overpriced
Works good and easy to put on except directions are faulty. Two batteries were sent but only one needed. That is good but directions say place both batteries in battery in handle. There is no room. Works with one battery. Also, the laser only lights up with pressure applied to the grip switch. This is good for preserving battery from accidentally being left on and draining battery but the light will go out sometimes when shooting when pressure from hand shifts to trigger. I prefer a switch that stays on. I believe that this is overpriced because I purchased a laser sight from Laser Max for another gun for half the price which was twice as good in my opinion.

the laser is great. Works like a charm
I had to think about this, because I always look for the 1-star reviews. And if they're from crazy people, I buy the product. First, the laser is great. Works like a charm, and is perfect for a short sight radius J-frame revolver. But I've tried two of these. First one, just like another review, the batteries wouldn't seat because the electrical contacts weren't installed properly. Well, anyone can have a bad day at the factory. Tried again with this. Worked like a charm. Then the first time I removed the grips the metal stud that seats the small screw holding the frame together popped right out. Are you kidding? So either I'm really unlucky, or this is an expensive product that is incredibly cheaply made. So I'm done with Crimson Trace. Also, I love Amazon dearly. But Amazon hates guns. So when you buy something like this you're dealing with one of their sellers. And you may find, as I did with ABCD Sales, that when you end up with a defective product you're paying the shipping and insurance to return it. And you're getting a refund, but not for your return shipping and handling. Buyer beware. Shop Amazon, but not for big ticket gun stuff.

Good Target Shooting Aid
I have two Crimson Trace Lasergrips; one for a S&W J-Frame and another for a small Charter Arms revolver. Grips work as advertised; however, the grip for the S&W is more comfortable and easier to "light-up." In my opinion this grip won't be effective in a self-defense situation because zeroing-in the laser to target takes time but I like it as a training aid in target shooting. Interestingly, my (and my wife's) accuracy is better using the handgun fixed sights which I attribute to the increased effort it takes to acquire the target using the laser and holding it on target. I don't see this product as a substitute for a red dot sight.

I haven't yet used it but I am quite pleased so far
I haven't yet used it but I am quite pleased so far. The grip arrived earlier than I expected. I had a little difficulty with getting the grip on my pistol so I called their customer service. Rachel was great. I sent her photos and she checked with their techs and gave me a solution that worked. All done within an hour! It now fits properly, feels good in my hand, and looks like I won't have to change the sight as it arrives already ready to go. Minor adjustments may be necessary, but I won't know until I try it out. Awesome.

BATTERY PROBLEM for CTC GRIPS
The batteries supplied for laser grips would not fit. They were too large!! After trying every technique possible on Christmas Eve I finally gave up. Then I waited two days for our stores to open. I purchased a set of Duracell batteries in hopes that would fix the problem. And they fit perfectly. It was so frustrating on Christmas Eve trying to get supplied batteries too large to work for a Christmas present. It's my opinion the battery compartment for those grips need to be redesign. The quality batteries fit great but struggle staying in place so the laser wouldn't turn on after the firearm was being carried. I decided to return the grips because of that reason. If you can't trust that they would turn on when needed there's a huge problem. So I decided to return the laser grips. Than I was offered a partial refund. Because of my experience as a law enforcement firearms instructor and having used Crimson Trace Grips for decades I decided to take the partial refund and find away to repair the battery compartment. I carefully used three layers of Scotch 35 White electrical tape rounded on the ends to match the batteries, that covered both batteries. This technique seems to have secured the batteries properly. Make sure not to cover any other areas inside the grips or they will not fit properly. This technique would not of been necessary had Crimson Trace designed the battery compartment correctly. I have not had that issue with any other Crimson Trace Grips. Anyways I appreciated the partial refund and I'm enjoying a nice set of Crimson Trace Grips at a great price.
