Pretty damn good stuff
I moved into a house that had a decayed chimney cap. Used wire brush to clean up 2'x6' cap. I would wet 1/3 of cap with spray bottle of water, use flat trowel to spread this stuff on thick, scrape extra of with 1/4 slotted grout tile then smoth over ridges with wet cloth. Keep water spray bottle nearby by as helps with final molding as sets up quickly. Look for videos on YouTube about how to apply this stuff. Was VERY satisfied with final outcome - jus took me a ton of time to get done! I used the entire bucket for this size cap. Bought second bucket to do my second cap this spring.

Good sealer
This product was highly recommended by the company that cleans my flues. The original crown measured 32"x48" and was beginning to crack. The product went on as directed and was relatively easy to apply. I did need to use a bit of water to help with the troweling and I used the full two gallons to completely cover the original crown. I will need to order another two gallons in the spring in order to get the crown thickness to what the directions called for. Come spring I should know how well the initial application held up.

It spread like butter and created a smooth and water tight seal
Received Crown seal within a couple of days after placing the order. I used it the following day. It spread like butter and created a smooth and water tight seal. The temperature was around 70 degrees when I was using the product and found you must move quickly once you start. I am a jack of all trades and and very pleased with the results.

Good enough
I installed the coating on a 70 degree day in full sun. I thought the cool temp retard the drying time. I was wrong. Even though I worked quickly the material set fairly quickly and it was very difficult to get a smooth finish. I did the water spray before the final smoothing, but that only helped so much. It seems to be a nice product and filled the cracks in the cap nicely. , Im just happy its about 40 feet above the ground so my workmanship isn't noticeable. But, if I had it to do over, I'd try on a much cooler day.

The product was easy to work with
Completed project in about 2 hours. The product was easy to work with, if you do it in smaller sections. Watched the youtube video on how to apply and followed directions. Keep a spray bottle handy, mist crown and areas before brushing out. My chimney crown looks brand new. Seller had fast shipping and product was within 18 months shelf life. Glad I did it myself and saved the money and did the job right.

application
Did not go on easy or even. Hard to apply. The mixture seemed to be dry and was hard to work with.

I applied this on a cool day and didn't have the problems others experienced with it drying too quickly. Also my crown was very small so I only used about 1/3 of the product. I have to say that since it is not something that will be seen, I didn't worry too much about getting it extremely smooth. It went on easily and dried to a very hard surface. I did review the video on You Tube but theirs was much larger than mine.

Avoid. A short term fix at best. Not Uv stable.
Had it professionally applied about five years ago. Is has cracked amd is peeling off in sheets now. The only think that stopped my leaks was water sealing the bricks with a silane based sealer annually. Sadly most masons are hacks when it comes to repairing water leaks. This is now yet another "quick fix" I now have to laboriously peel off our enormous cap.
