This is an update to my previous 1 star review. That review was responded to by Remington and they are sending me a new unit. It is possible that some of my issues were customer error, maybe their instructions need to be clearer? Anyway, my issue of having a difficult time getting the unit to work was likely related to not removing the head after each use and rinsing it out. I rinsed the head each time, but I wasn't removing it (to be honest, I didn't realize it could come off). Anyway, it worked well when it did work, and I trust that with my changing how I clean the unit that the new unit will work well consistently. Below is my original posting: Never worked very well. Always had to fiddle with it to get it to turn on. Finally today no fiddling worked at all. And I'm two weeks past the return date. Would have been OK if it had worked consistently.

Broke again this was my replacement that I got last month! This is so unreliable I used it only 3-4 times. ---------- Old Review------------- This product is great and does the job well but it does not last long. Mine died within 5 months of purchase. Also, the battery doesn't last that long. Returned the product to manufacturer and have been waiting to hear back for more than a month. --- Edit--- I just received a replacement for my return hope it will last longer.

Works ok, usually have to manually move the blades to get it to start.

It's really good at removing nose hair, hair on the outline and inside the ear. It's MUCH sturdier than the old WAHL nose hair trimmer we used to own, which finally stopped working.

update: so it has been a year since I bought this nose hair trimmer and it still works. It did stop once and like my other trimmers for trimming my beard, hair would get stuck in the cutters; just use any small brush to brush out the hairs, tap the trimmer head on the table, turn on and off the trimmer while both brushing and tapping.... or the other possibility is a dead battery. Anyways I'm just here to update my review that my trimmer is still working and I never use it under water. update: For decades I hate trimming my nose hair because every time that I do there is this ONE nose hair that cannot be trimmed and it tickles my nose endlessly. I would use forceps and those tiny sharp scissors trying to cut that one nose hair that seems to be dodging all my cutting attempts. However this Remington Nose Hair trimmer acts much like a hedge trimmer, trims everything in its path and it is like magic as I sweep around my nose cutting every nose hair in its path. I love it. Now mine is still working and I think the main difference is that even though it stated that it is waterproof I don't use it under water. In fact I keep my trimmer as dry as possible and that I think is the reason that mine is working. Anyway I love my cheap nose hair trimmer. Original Review: I am waiting for it to stop working but for now it works perfectly and it does its job better than any of my other nose hair trimmer. I am grateful that Remington sells this type of nose trimmer because the other kind that looks like a cone doesn't really work that well. This side type trimmer trims everything that I can see protrubing from the side of the inside my nose where-as the other kind doesn't seem to trim. The other kind (the cone shape trimmer) you would poke at the hairs but they don't seem to trim. This trimmer much like a hedge trimmer, you simply sweep around the insides of your nose and voila! all trimmed. As for the possibility that the trimmer stops working, my other trimmers stops working because of the hairs getting stuck in the trimmer although this might not be the problem for this trimmer. I figure that if it does stop working and I cannot fix it, I might just buy another one when I cross that nose bridge. Meanwhile I am very happy that my nose hair isn't bothering me anymore especially when wearing a covid mask. Highly recommended for the price!!

Good for unreachable areas

This product stopped doing the task after less than a year... Although the blades move but the hair persists without getting cut... Wastage of money.

1. Poor Trimming Performance I bought this expecting it to make grooming easier, but it honestly doesn’t cut effectively. The blades feel weak, and I found myself going over the same spot multiple times with little to no result. 2. Not Reliable in Practice Even though it’s marketed as waterproof and easy to clean, the actual trimming is so underwhelming that the extra features don’t matter. It looks good on paper but doesn’t perform where it counts. 3. Feels Cheap in the Hand The trimmer is lightweight, but not in a good way. It feels flimsy, and I don’t get the sense it’s built to last. For something that’s supposed to be used often, it should feel sturdier. 4. Battery Power Isn’t Enough It runs on a single AA battery, but the motor doesn’t have the strength to handle even basic trimming. I swapped in a fresh battery, and it still struggled to get the job done. 5. Disappointing Overall At this price, I wasn’t expecting premium performance, but I did expect it to at least work properly. Unfortunately, it didn’t deliver, and I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for something effective.

Used it only 3 times and it stop working. Replaced the batteries still not working. What a waste of money!!
