I bought the 3.5 female to 4.4 male to plug into my DAC for balanced listening.First I want to say I’m not an audiophile. However I am serious about the best sound I can get for my money. Therefore I have better than average DAC/AMP/headphones/IEMs. (Over $1,200 to give an idea) So I’m not an expert but to me this did not degrade the sound at all. The cable adapter seems to be made of quality materials. I would think if handled properly this will last for years but I can say for source as I’ve had it less than a week.

I'm using this with iKKo OH10 IEM's and an iFi Zen V2 hooked up to my MacBook Pro. The Apollo does exactly what I expected. Stupid me kept ordering the wrong sizes but I had no trouble with the returns. The adapter reeks of quality and the sound I get is ideal. You can't go wrong with this adapter.

This is the correct adapter for the ifi Hip DAC2 (Hi-Res) with the balanced 4.4 mm output; otherwise, static will be unavoidable through cans. Don't make the mistake of using regular 3.5 mm "adapter."

The packaging and cool leather storage pouch alone deserves 5 stars. My Qd 5k fits in the encluded pouch, very nice. Outstanding quality cable with a bonus black leather spring loaded storage pouch?It does work with marshall majors but the connection is kinda janky and will lose signal if fiddled with. Not recomended to travel with it. Super bummed out.

UNFORTUNATELY DEFECTIVE ON ARRIVAL. NO VISIBLE DAMAGE ON PRODUCT.HOWEVER, WHEN I USED IT IN MY NEW FIIO K7 DAC/AMP IT CAUSED THE K7 TO SHUT DOWN AFTER35 SECONDS OF PLAYTIME ON A SONG. REPEATED A FEW TIMES AND ALWAYS SHUT DOWN.I AM REQUESTING A REFUND.

The minute I laid eyes on the packaging of this product I knew it was top drawer .Beautifully packaged in a sleeve within a very stylish black box . And when I connected the cable to my headphones and then into my amplifier I can say the sound was magical.
