Poor quality
I just ordered by second set of these to replace my first set. The finish on the first set corroded badly. Also the included mounting studs are very poor quality. They break off if any pressure is applied during installation. On the other hand, if you can get them installed without breaking the mounting studs, they look good - at least for a little while. I wish I could find the same thing made with higher quality materials. The photo shows the corrosion after about three years on my house (mostly out of the weather).

Nice looking numbers but two of the pegs broke off ...
Nice looking numbers but two of the pegs broke off when I installed them. Able to fix with construction adhesive.

Looks good from a distance but all of the numbers arrived scratched up.
I really wanted to give this a perfect score given the size in the cold mounting system, however all of the numbers I ordered arrived scratched on the surface. This is because they are displayed within clear plastic and I’m sure that with storing at the warehouse and shipping they rubbed on other services which ended up scratching the surface of the numbers. I would’ve returned them but since all of them came scratched I figured they were all gonna be scratched up anyways. I just mounted them since they were going on the house and people are going to look at them from far away. However if people are going to be able to see it up close, then I wouldn’t recommend buying these unless you are prepared to keep sending them back for a perfect clean, non-scratch surface number.

A Fair Value
I bought 5 individual numbers, all brushed nickel. I didn't have any problems with the finish matching, even though they came from two different suppliers. In reading the other reviews, I was very leery of the attachment screws and treated them as fragile. As such, I had no problems with breakage. Yes, the templates are off - at least the #2 template was for the top hole, so I had to do my own figuring. These look very nice for the money. They're coated in some kind of clearcoat, but I wouldn't bet on it lasting forever. As sleek and stylish as these are, they're thin/narrow and they aren't very readable from 15', so keep in mind you'll probably have to shine a light on them in the dark. I made a stained board to mount them on, but I could hardly see them, even with a light shining on them, so I ended up painting them white (which I could have ordered in the first place, but NBD). Pic is before I painted them white. Looks great in the daylight up close, but not at night. They lose a star for the bad templates and cheap hardwareYMMV.

as we had one break off in the number just like other reviews did
Can be found at your local big box hardware store for around the same price. The template provided needs to be used, you HAVE to follow the instructions. Be extra careful with the spokes, as we had one break off in the number just like other reviews did. We super-glued it back on. These are not the highest quality of product out there - so be patient if you really want to make this modern design work for you. You cannot skip the step of making larger holes and filling them with caulk or adhesive - we tried. The problem is the item is imperfect. If you try to make the holes as big as the spokes, the template will not line up. They make you drill larger holes to make room for the variation in the imperfections. This is not a project that can be completed in one afternoon - it will take time over 2 days, so if you are planning to install before a big event, give yourself lots of time! After the struggle, we are satisfied with the result, just make sure you have someone you consider to be handy around if you are not.

Be careful when installing!
I Really like the modern look of the floating numbers. Amazon had them priced well so I ordered them. I was so exited I quickly read the instructions. Which were not very thorough. And attempted to install. I drilled the holes per the instructions and promptly broke the included screw. I re read the instructions, attempted the next screw and broke it too. Doh!I really wanted to use these numbers so I turned to my trusty pal Google to find what I was doing wrong. I couldn't find out the trick. At that point I decided to just drill the holes bigger than I needed and then use a filler to help adhere them without breaking anymore. That worked like a charm and I was able to finish installing the other numbers.Since I wanted my finished numbers to "float", I really needed the screws that were included in the package. I had already broke them, and was unable to source new ones. So I contacted The Hillman Group via their customer service email link on their website. They quickly replied to my inquiry and to my delight they mailed out new screws at no charge! Armed with my new knowledge on installation I quickly installed the last number. Now my house it looking good!

terrible hardware, terrible instructions, but turned out nice
wow, they weren't kidding when they said the hardware is junk. so are the instructions. there is no way 1/8 and 1/4" drill bits were large enough. and unfortunately most standard drill bit sets don't go bigger than 1/4". I wanted to flush set mine, so had to buy a bigger bit. even with that, it was a really tight squeeze -- I had to carefully pound these with a mallet to get the pegs to go in.the finish on the numbers looks pretty shoddy too -- rough around the edges. I worry the plating might start chipping off after one winter. I'm strongly considering giving them a coat of protective spray paint. they were inexpensive and did turn out nice looking, so it would be worth it to spend the time to paint them.

Don't mount as directed....here's a better way
This material is a plastic resin; as well as the hardware. To avoid breaking the mounting screws, hand tighten each one onto the back of each number. Draw a solid level line on the surface where the numbers will go; include the distance apart you want them. Put lipstick on each screw end that's mounted on the back of the number...level each number at the top of the line, then push the screws against the surface to transfer the lipstick (pattern). Then drill your surface with a drill bit that is the same diameter as the screw. Use epoxy to fill the hole or 100% silicone, then immediately mount each number in it's place. This worked so well for me I just had to help others. This mounting screw is also sold in metal at the hardware or home improvement stores, but I would still install the numbers this way.
