Decent product at a fair price
Bought as a replacement when integrated light on my aquarium failed. It's very dim by comparison to the tank light, but after I got over the initial shock, I'm actually quite pleased - the original lighting was way too bright I had to limit the hours the tank lights were on as it was creating a build up of algae; since installing this light (a five minute job) I've not had that problem as even the white light isn't blinding but sufficient; each evening a family member gets to pick what colour we'll have for the evening effect, so it's brought a bit of added enjoyment to us when we watch our fish.

why would you want this light for a fish tank ??
not that bright, suction crap falls off, cant turn or angle the light, can only have one color at a time cant mix, flashes like a disco light why would you want that on a fish tank ,not what i was expecting and over priced for what it is ,no use for what i wanted .

Great light, don't overlook!
Perfect for small or begginer tanks, infact I love this light, even if you have been in the hobbie for years don't overlook this light. Only 1 small point, don't by this light if you have fish that like constantly subdued light as there is no dimming function.

Good but expensive for options many will not use
We are using this item in a cold water system, home to two goldfish in a pretty lavish tank for fish of their inherent value: that said they have been with us for years and I am quite fond of them.We have a fairly comprehensive system of filtration and keep them in an area of the house whereby the water does not become overly warm due to hot central heating. Due to the size of the tank, standard old-fashioned halogen bulbs create quite an amount of heat as well as use a lot of electricity; this lamp is ideal as it runs cool and uses very little electricity. It is too small for my tank, but as a Vine product, I am reviewing an item which you cannot dictate what size your receive.Ours is located along the side of the tank, therefore brightly illuminating one end of the tank, with much more subdued light at the other. The lamp is a little bright, but used in this configuration it allows the fish to move to the darker element as they see fit and of course it is adjustable through three settings on full/off/adjustable brightness. we have not utilised the option to change colours, straight "white light" is fine for our needs, but there are a range of colours ranging through the spectrum. There are also a number of effects such as strobe, but why anyone would want these I have no idea! We have fixed our lamp into the system using weights and ties, although there is a bracket with vacuum pads supplied. So why 4 stars? It is a good lamp, is fully waterproof and offers a range of options for lighting and effects. To be perfectly honest, I like the remote option for the light, but feel the purchasers are paying for a range of options which add nothing to the functionality of the light and I suspect most users just want the light on or off.

Gives Good Illumination
The strip is composed of six white LEDSs, interspersed by three blu LEDS, the power cable is a good length and features a flick switch to adjust between full/off/moonlight settings. I've attached mine using the suction cups and it has boosted the lighting in the tank without washing out the colours of my fish. There is an option to fix the strip to the inside of a hood using small woodscrews, or adhesive pads (I wouldn't rely on the adhesive pads inside a humid tank hood). The light is pleasant and good enough to see inside your tank, but I'm unsure it would support the growth of plants that need high levels of lighting, so I'd opt for low light plants to begin with. Overall, it's a nice compact design for a small tank and it does a fairly decent job,

Low profile and perfect for smaller tanks.
Whilst this isn't the cheapest of LED aquarium lights, I have to say that the Interpet quality is outstanding. I particularly like the flatness to the clear plastic. Other LEDs that I've had use a round tube, which can get particularly dirty if used out of the water, reducing the light output. A flat surface should prevent this from happening as much.LEDs are far more reliable than older tubes, which I've usually had to change every 2-3 months in the past. If this proves to be as reliable as other LEDs, this should last for years before you experience and degradation in light quality. The night blue light isn't overly bright by itself, but certainly adds a little improvement to plant colours when it is on with the white lights (you can't use the white LEDs alone). This has fitted perfectly into the lid of my 60 litre rank. The low profile of the flat tube means that the tube isn't noticeable when in use, as my tank has quite a narrow lid.Highly recommended for any tank. I haven't tested it in the water as it serves my purposes better attached to the lid.

aquarium light
My only issue is the suction cups only work when it is submerged completely in water (at which point they work really well) but if you want to mount it in the light compartment or in paludarium setup (as i did) were it isnt compeletly submerged the suctioncups dont work at all even on clean glass. However that is really the only thung i can poke holes in. Overall it is a great product for the price and ive not had any issues once id siliconed the clips in the desired poisitions in the vivariums light unit in my Fluval accent has gone on the blink and the shop/manufacturer cannot get a replacement until May, thankfully free of charge as under warranty still, but i could not let my fish/plants go that long without light, so looked on here for a stop gap. This is a fantastic light, not too bright, very ambient lighting for my tank, and the fish seem happy . Basically stick on the inside of the tank and plug in. Best to position at front of tank with lights facing the back, or the lights can be dazzling....or fix to the top to shine down.
