Used this to connect my string of outdoor lights and provide an on/off switch without having to plug/unplug the whole strip of lights. The remote works great, comes with instructions and works from a good distance away. I used velcro to attach the remote to the brick wall by my exit door to control my outdoor string lights. Very nice.

I use this when I'm on a 30' ladder to turn my shop vac on and off. I'm a contractor with 40 years of experience and this unit is definitely rugged, works through walls and around corners with one push. It's a real time saver. I forgot to take the remote out of my pocket and it went through the wash. Even though it was my fault, they stood by their product. Response was fast and courteous. I definitely recommend this.

Updates:I had Amazon replace the unit and the new one works as it should. I've have had this new unit for weeks and had absolutely zero issues. The battery idraining n the remote is no longer an issue. I'd also like to say that even though it took the companys customer service some time to get back to me (Amazon had already replaced the product) once the customer service was on it they were very thorough, reaching out numerous times to make sure i was happy and their product worked as it should. I could knock off a star I guess fir the inconvenience of getting a faulty remote but in the end these things happen and what is important is tgat the company and Amazon stood tall in making this right.Original review:I'm in the process of having this item replaced hoping that my experience with the product is due to a faulty product. When I received the 3 dual prong outlets and remotes I noticed that I almost threw away the shipping envelope in which it arrived, and accidentally the battery for the remote which was just laying in the bottom of the envelope as opposed to being in the box containing the outlets and remote. This first battery worked one time the same day I received the order, literally. I turned a water fountain on, then off, and by the next day the battery in the remote was dead. At this point I thought perhaps just a cheap "starter" battery as it wasn't a name brand so i went out and bought two brand new energizers. Put one in, and walla! the remote control worked again. So I turned my fountain on in the morning, and again off at night. The next morning I experienced the same issue with the remote being dead. So that is why I am rating the product one star at this point, it works great, but only for a day and batteries being priced at a little over a dollar each seems a bit extravagant in terms of cost and trouble. The really strange thing is that when the remote is being operated there is a red led that lights up when you press the on or off switch, so i don't understand what is drawing the current out of the remote if that light isn't lit (which it isn't...) So I have agreed to have Amazon send me another unit, and I will try this one out and see if my unit is just somehow a defected unit, and I will reevaluate either way. If it works for you, then it is a great value I think in terms of price. But for me a battery per day is just a pain.

I tow an enclosed 30 ft car trailer with my classic car inside. When pulling onto the highway, or slowing for railroad tracks etc. I wanted some way to warn motorists approaching from behind that I was not moving at highway speed or I was slowing for some reason. The trailer has good factory lights but I wanted to provide more visual indicators of my actions. I installed a pair of flashing red LED emergency vehicle lights on the rear of the trailer but needed a way to activate them when needed. Since my trailer has its own 110v power, I was able to use this remote switch mounted on my trailer and activate it with the small transmitter from inside my tow vehicle to control the auxiliary lighting. So far it has worked VERY well. I did test the range and I believe it to be close to the advertised useable distance. Very happy to have this remote switch system. If anything negative crops up I will amend this review but as of this time I am happy and satisfied.

I've ordered one of the double outlet and three of the single outlet. Two of four that I received had been used, one didn't include a battery. The quality control of the fulfillment center is not good. You should receive the unit new and a wrapped battery.Now, they operate fine to turn on and off fountains & lights in the yard. I like that they came with different programing so one doesn't operate all. There are instructions to change the pre-programming if desired.

I got it for lighting above my garage workbench. Much easier than plugging and unplugging.

this is a very nice tool to have, heavely used in my shop- very convenient, eliminates walking around manually turning other tools on and off- value added to the shop!

The remote control is a game changer! I love being able to turn Christmas lights on and off without having to deal with moving the tree or going out in the snow, as the case may be.The only negative in my view is the shortness of the cord. It would be more helpful if the cord were a bit longer. As it is, when you plug this into your wall outlet, the whole thing kind of "dangles" from the wall outlet unless the wall outlet is really, really close to the ground. I would have preferred that the dual outlets sit a bit lower as the cord is fairly stiff and, being so short, it can be a bit of an annoyance when you plug into the dual outlets.But still, it does the job well and I am happy with it.

Appears to be well made, using this for my shop vac. Works well. I do wish it had some sort or loop or something on the remote control to clip onto your belt. I ended up gluing a rare earth magnet on the back so I can attach this to a table saw or router or whatever I'm using at the time.
