I'm ready for the cold rides now
This came highly recommended by bike riders who participate in cold weather winter sports. I bought it on that recommendation as it wasn't all that expensive. I'm might look funny riding to Walmart but I'll be prepared if I ever race the Iditarod!

doesnt work
This thing has no heat exchange element or one-way valve function incorporated into it . It is basically just a cup with holes in it, over your nose. The area by the bridge of the nose does not seal well either, so moist air is directed up to your glasses and they have even more fogging problems than without the mask. Was very did disappointed when I learned returns were not accepted for this product.

Good, one of best for extreme cold
You can freely breath, the mask can be easily cleaned, it can be compined with your balaclava of your choice, dont, expect wonder, the fit of the rubber part could better. If you wear this one, you do it because there is no way around.

Buy it. Done.
My 4 one. This is a fantastic mask. The breathing chamber really avoids fogging on glasses or goggles. Montana skiing at -28° was no issue. Rubber stayed nice and flexible. Great product and the new version has even better hook and loop area.

Crappy item DO NOT PURCHASE
Does not come with a filter or anything. Other reviewers were right, it’s just plastic with holes. It does not work, not work the money at all. Do not purchase this product.

Not the same as ColdAvenger
Previously bought ColdAvenger. This one looks identical to ColdAvenger. Closer look shows thinner chamber, slightly different chamber, not the same as ColdAvenger. Cheapened. Works about the same as ColdAvenger. Little or no heat.....Great Scarf!

Great Mask
Great mask for winter. All you need to do is add a filter on the inside.

I can't even figure out how this thing is supposed to fit. The part of a regular balaclava that would come down onto my forehead sticks out like it a useless brim unless I pull the bottom of the opening below my chin. Where the bottom of the face opening is supposed to fall is a complete mystery. If I pull the opening down under my chin it makes the top come over my forehead, but it is very tight (as in, intolerable). The bottom of the opening seems to want to sit just under my nose - Yuk!. If I don't pull the opening down below my chin, the add-on piece leaves a gap. Just weird. Perhaps it fits better on miniature heads. The snout cup has some apparently non-funcitonal add-on piece inside. I bought this on a deep discount, so I won't bother to return it. I am suspicious that the version I got is actually an early one that is no longer in production. The manufacturer's website is equally horrible, making it an exercise in torture to try to see the photos (that apparently are hosted elsewhere). There's a video, but after the first minute and a half of some bozo standing in front of a fireplace with his jaw flapping and his hands in his pockets, I quit watching. addedndum: After looking at it carefully, I do not believe the claim that it warms incoming air in any useful fashion. The AVERAGE temperature inside the snout piece WILL be well above ambient because the average will include exhaled air at about 37°C. But once you have inhaled the approx 100 mL volume of "used" air in the snout, you get ambient air that might be warmed very very slightly by being drawn over a bit of exposed skin. The previously-mentioned add-on piece in the cup I think was intended to be part of a "valve" but in no way functions as such.
