The Call of the Wild: The Original 1903 Edition

Fascinating
This adventure novel while short packed a lot in. This is the story of Buck the sled dog, it is told from Buck's perspective, which was really interesting. Buck goes from a normal domesticated dog to a wild dog due to answering the call. In between, you get the story of his life through several masters. Plus all the cruelty he and his pack faced, which was truly hard to read. Even though this is told from a dog's perspective I felt all the emotions Buck went through. A true classic story that everyone should pick up and read.

Great
I recently read "The Call of the Wild" by Jack London in its Kindle edition, and I must say that it's a remarkable classic that deserves recognition. Here are my thoughts:This novel takes you on an exhilarating journey into the wilds of the Yukon during the gold rush, and Jack London's vivid descriptions and storytelling bring the harsh and unforgiving environment to life in a truly captivating way. The protagonist, Buck, a domesticated dog turned into a wild wolf, goes through a transformation that is both inspiring and poignant. The Kindle edition is well-formatted, making it easy to read and navigate through the story. The convenience of having this classic at your fingertips is undeniable, and I appreciated the ability to adjust the font size and make annotations as I read.My reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that while the story is compelling, it may not be suitable for all readers due to its occasionally intense and brutal scenes. However, these moments are essential to the story's themes of survival and the call of the wild, so they can't be entirely dismissed. In conclusion, "The Call of the Wild" is a classic adventure novel that has stood the test of time. The Kindle edition makes it accessible and convenient for modern readers, and I highly recommend it to those who appreciate tales of adventure, transformation, and the raw power of nature. It's a compelling read, and I believe it deserves a solid 4-star rating.

Great adventure story.
I read this story when I was much younger and thought I would try reading it once again as an adult. I found it very enjoyable. It's a great adventure story if you like reading about animals and the outdoors.

The Call of the Wild
This "book," is by far and away probably the most accurate accounting of that transition from civilization to an unfettered, uninhibited existence that a wild "thing" can achieve... truly, truly a short story that stands tall through the decades since its writing. Thank you Jack London.

Very Enjoyable, Gratifying Book. 👍📖
This book was very enjoyable to read, but there was a lot of cruel beatings from the inane, insane miners (apart from John Thornton and his friends). Of course, there were also a lot of ferocious, savage dogs, such as Spitz (who dies to Buck) and Joe (who loses an eye). The dogs had lots of hardships, but they overcame them, and Buck finally found a place to settle in with the stray wolves/hounds. Most of the hardships, were: the cruel beatings, being attacked by huskies, the cold, freezing snow, the labourous sled-pulling work, the little amount of food and the wounds they had sustained to the fighting.By Andrew, age 10

Catching
It was a little difficult to follow in the beginning. I found that the wording made you think, but I was tearing up by the end of the book. 10/10 for me.
