Ranger EPJ00-709 Embossing Powder .60oz, Holographic, 1.75 x 1.5 x 1.5

The only brand of clear embossing powder I use. I have purchased many jars of this. I stamp in black ink and emboss almost all my cards and tags. It makes a nice crisp stamp so I can paint, etc. without altering the stamped image.

Wonderful product! Powder melts consistently and you get an amazing finish to your products. The holographic glitter creates different colour tints depending on the angle of view. WARNING! The fine holographic glitter dust gets EVERYWHERE if there is a breeze about. I looked like I was in a carnival band after my work with the kids on camp doing stamp art! Very good effect! Gives a great "WOW factor" to your embossing project! I will be purchasing this again.

This is the best embossing powder I’ve ever used! It heats up pretty fast and cures just as fast! I used it for my wedding invitations and it didn’t chip or flake! It’s amazing.

Actually a pretty nice product. I mixed a pearlescent powder with some soft acrylic gloss gel and painted a piece of heavy Arches with this mixture. When it dried, I applied a piece of very fine handmade abaca paper (which has short, colored strands of string embedded in it) over the gelled page with PVA glue. Once this dried, I applied embossing medium with the stamp of my choice on the abaca paper, then shook some of the holographic embossing powder over the stamped image. After removing the excess powder, I used a heat tool to set the embossing powder. The effect is really striking: the stamped image glimmers and floats quite delicately on the abaca, but the gelled medium underneath the abaca can be clearly seen through it, along with the embedded pearlescent powder that I added to the gel medium. I am very pleased with the result.

The holographic effect is truly striking, and is wonderful for adding sparkles to the tips of waves, snow, splashes from waterfalls, etc. (using an embossing pen). However, the product is very thick and does not work well at all on stamps with much detail; they look like rather interesting ink blots! For the certain projects, I know I will be using this frequently and have already gotten recommendations and questions about it. I also have a clear sparkling embossing powder, which is much better for detail work, and quite pretty but lacks the sheer drama of the holographic powder.

This holographic embossing powder is just as easy to use as any other embossing powder. It gives a spectacular result. Lots of color in just one application. I was surprised that it does give a 'color-changing' emboss just by tilting the paper. It seems to be super fine, which, although it detailed even the finest lines {very crisp detail}, it was very static, and hard to brush off the paper I had under it, {even though I used the 'baby powder' stuff to stop it from clinging everywhere}. I still give it a 5 star rating - it gives is one of a kind look.
