They keep your drink hot long enough to finish your drink, Id say 2-3 hours Otherwise these are great Travel Mugs, compact, holds 12oz, fits all cup holders, very sturdy and seals very well. We've bout 3 or 4 of these and they last a long time and great choice of colors.

Great spill proof coffee thermos

Excellent travel mug, zero problems with spills. Easy to clean and durable.

Bought due to design/mug volume capacity with a shorter height to fit in a cold weather outside coat. Product is well sized. However, I also have a Thermos brand 16 oz mug which recently I filled the same time as the new mug from Contigo. after a couple of hours, the coffee in the new Contigo mug was luke warm, but not hot. Conversely the Thermos brand mug filled/checked at the same time was still quite hot and obviously had significantly better insulation/heat retention design. I did use these in outside pockets on a ski jacket a on cold day so would be will ambient tested vs inside a heated building or a car etc.
