I had decided not to order this based on reviews. When speaking with my vet’s office a few days prior to the surgery, I asked their advice on what to use post surgery. They suggested one of the “onesie” shirts. I decided to place an order for this one and am so happy that I did! It is well made with soft, comfortable fabric. The fit is exactly as described, and the snaps placement is perfect and easy to use. After a couple of days, I removed the shirt to let the incision “get some air” and placed one of those donuts around her neck ( I had purchased it when I originally decided not to get the shirt). Woah! She went crazy trying to get it off….absolutely traumatized. I gave it a little while to see if she got used it but took it off her when she started crying. Put the shirt back on, and she immediately settled down and wanted to play. The material has not stretched out, has not ripped and her incision is protected from her attempts to get to it. Highly recommend this product. I have an 11 pound Havapoo and got a size Small. Excellent fit

I wish this product was available the last time I had a puppy being neutered! I was dreading the cone until a friend of mine recommended this product and I’m so thankful! It fits him perfect, he’s comfortable in his onesie and has not been trying to lick his wound. The fabric is soft, it’s easy to get on him and easy to snap up for potty breaks. I highly recommend! I purchased 2 of them so he doesn’t have to go without one while washing. He is a mini goldendoodle, 25 pounds and the medium fits him perfectly.

Well made, large enough front leg holes to not be binding, and easy to put on. The material is stretchy and very soft- like nice cotton pajamas. I ordered 3 different brands, and this one by far was the nicest, easiest, and most comfortable. I did have to safety pin the back by the rear leg or when she bent the back legs, the excess material got stuck over her thighs. My blue heeler is long and thin. So I ordered large to get one long enough even though she is 30 pounds. I possibly could have gone a size smaller, but her back length was 23.5 inches.

Edit: still great purchase but it’s day 7 and we’ve noticed it’s a tad short for him and it’s starting to irritate his scrotum area so we give him breaks from it and he seems happier. He does seem to lick his incision site but mainly because his scrotum is bothered I think. Keep this in mind for fit! Best fitting post surgical suit we could find for our male dogs body shape. He’s very long and lanky, not much fat on him, so sizing can be tricky. We got an XL and my only thought is that the neck is a bit snug but I’ve stretched it out and it’s starting to stretch with time. Using for post neuter surgery and it’s more comfortable for pup than the donut and cone, but he can still lick the fabric until it gets wet if we aren’t watching so if that’s the case we do pair with the donut. Our donut has a zippered cone attachment we can add if we need extra prevention but most of the time the ruff life suit is good enough as long as we’re keeping an eye on him from licking his incision. Overall, liked this much better than some of the others we tried mainly due to fit and that it covers the whole wound. When he needs to go pee or poop we just unbutton the pieces in the back and roll it up until he’s done, then we resnap it into place afterwards. Have washed it once and dried on medium heat, no noticeable shrinkage. Nice tshirt cotton material that’s breaths. Not too tight so pup is comfy but incision still has protection. Also super cute:) Would recommend! For references our pup is 11 months and weighs about 68-70lbs, Girth = 29/30” head= 20 Neck =18-19 Back waist = 24 Length = 28 Hope this helps some of you!

Easy to get on and off. Fits well. My Golden Retriever does not mind it at all. Today is the second day and no issues. (I did put it on him.before the surgery a couple of times for a short period of time.) SO much BETTER than the cone.

My dog had surgery to remove a mass above her right front leg. Vet recommended a recovery suit and I saw this one had good reviews outside of Amazon with 9.8 out of 10. Video was very helpful on measuring my dog and the fit is good and I used the shortest snaps so fit not so loose. She is a medium size dog and her back length was 27 inches so I opted for XL. Her width was 24 inches because a lot of her hair was shaved for the surgery. It’s a little loose on the body but covers her surgical site really well. The cone was not going to be of much help as she can’t reach with her mouth, but her legs could get to the staples. I also put socks on her as she’s elderly and they help with her traction, but keep her nails from taking out the staples. Good quality material not so thick she will get hot. Will update after I wash , but looks to be just what I need for the next 12 days. Washed and dryed on low heat. No issues or shrinkage.

I liked the idea of this recovery suit and wanted it to work as an alternative to a cone. It fits reasonably well and is convenient in theory. Unfortunately, the material rips very easily, which made it difficult to rely on during recovery. For a product meant to be worn continuously by an active dog, the durability was disappointing. It may work for very calm pets, but it did not hold up well in our experience.

So great. Pup loves it, kind of like a thunder shirt. It covers his neutering incision, is pretty easy to put on and take off for pottying, and It helps him sleep more soundly to boot!
