007: The Sean Connery Collection, Vol. 2

Sean Connery is the best. Great DVD highly recommended.

When it comes to James Bond, Sean Connery is THE MAN! I had seen all his 007 movies when they first came to the theaters. That's been quite a while ago, so I wanted to see them all again. What a treat! Despite all the clever gadgets supplied by Q, the movies seem a bit dated. Guess I'm used to all the special effects provided in movies these days. One thing I don't miss is all the bad language and nudity. There's not a single swear word in any of these movies and, while there are some risque parts, it's all done tastefully. They don't make them like this anymore and that's a shame. RIP Mr Bond.

I think that Sean Connery and Daniel Craig has made the very best James Bond movies. I needed these movies in my collection.

These classic Connerys are finally showing their age after 60 years, but they're still entertaining, and of course Connery is still as suave as ever.

We realized we did not have any Bond movies in our DVD collection.Problem solved.

These movies are an absolute pleasure to watch,even if it be 100 times over. True cinema classics that have aged like fine wine!

The second half of Connery's run as 007.THUNDERBALL was about as big a Bond as Bond could get. By the time this one was made he was an institution and Connery was getting tired of playing him, and it shows in his performance.YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE is noteworthy for it's glimpse of 60s life and style in Japan, but Bond as a Japanese is ridiculous in a series that was getting more and more ridiculous. Connery's hairpiece and waist line seem to be suffering a bit but it's only worse in...DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER which is sort of like if your Uncle Ned played James Bond. Its hard to imagine a bloated middle aged man as suave 007-- it would be 40 years before middle aged Daniel Craig would come along and show the world that age didn't matter where Bond was concerned.

Always a fun movie night. Really enjoy the movies.
