A new version of Construction book
For most landscape designers, we tend to be more familiar with resources like Graphic Standards and Time-Saver Standards because of LARE exams. However, if you would like to really enhance the professions of construction, I would say this book offers more up-to-date and modern design details.

Excellent resource for a student
I am finishing my Masters of Landscape ArchitectureI really was not satisfied with my own details and sections and the understanding of construction even though it was acceptable for course requirements. I have worked internships where I would be able to make a section or detail but didn’t truly understand the construction behind it. The recommended text for my program was a collection of details as a reference book but had very little description on why these were built they way they were, so I started looking for a different reference to bridge that gap.Using this as a reference during some challenging sections as well as reading through it for general knowledge helped me get to a point where my sections and details were very fleshed out.It is not as fine grained as some construction books but it is presented in a way that it gives a lot of logic and backbone to why the material and design decisions are made, which I felt helped me not only reference it but create my own construction logic on some more obscure or experimental classwork designs. Instead of frantically seeking a similar construction detail that most closely matched my design and making educated guesses, I was now mentally and digitally modeling the joins and materials and critically assessing how they needed to be constructed.I would highly recommend as I can say the only thing I regret about this book is not buying it earlier in my degree program. Honestly I am surprised it is this affordable of a price too, it is without question worth what Amazon is charging and then some.

Technically excellent, beautiful drawings; Essential book for landscape architects!
This book is an essential reference text in my practice and teaching as a landscape architect. Thank you, Astrid Zimmerman, for being incredibly rigorous with your research, drawings, and writing in the production of this epic publication.
