Future Nostalgia

Old man just bought this. It’s great. Listening to it for the first and my foot can’t stop tapping.

Amazing!

Dua Lipa set out to make some brand new music that would make people feel nostalgic. Mixing old styles with new to create something funky, vibrant and modern, yet somehow familiar at the same time. I think she nailed it with this album."Cool" was the track that hooked me in. I heard it online first and it conjured up nostalgic feelings of summer holidays, and romances that have never actually happened in my life. But it created the feeling! It made me want to listen to the whole album again and again. After a while trying out the rest of the tunes, I had to buy my own copy.The title track, "Future Nostalgia" has a really interesting section of piano chords that sound like they shouldn't work, but yet they do! At first listen the section sounds discordant, but then it grows on you, and you realise it's actually pretty funky and inventive.The only negative is the final track "Boys Will Be Boys" because it just doesn't fit the rest of the album musically. The whole album is so upbeat and positive, and then this track brings that mood down by dealing with a very sensitive and serious issue. It's obviously a subject that Dua feels strongly about, and she's free to include songs that make such points if she wants. It just leaves you with a lingering sadness after finishing the album. I suppose that was the intention.

Wanted to expand my already eclectic music tastes and I wasn’t disappointed.

I LOVE FUTURE NOSTALGIA! Just some stuff, the design on the cd easily comes off when playing for a period of time and my came in a jewel case while some people are getting a digipack. Nethertheless, really good cd and recommend purchasing!

I was a bit worried about Dua Lipa's new album as I liked the first one so much and wasn't really sure where she was going. However I was not disappointed. It is simply amazing with a nice retro feel to the music (to be honest some of her first album also had elements of eighties music). I loved the tracks like Cool and Physical but even the ones I weren't sure about (e.g. Future Nostalgia, Break my Heart) have started to grow on me. Personally I also liked the presentation of the CD which was in a nice cardboard sleeve although you'll need a magnifying glass to read the leaflet that comes with it. Anyway, in summary I thought this was an amazing album and definitely worth purchasing. Perhaps this is standard now but just in case you don't know the MP3 version comes free with the CD and is available immediately for download after purchase.

My son wanted this album as he is a Dua Lipa fan, he has been listening to it and is very pleased he purchased it, some well known hits and some he hadn’t heard before

Great album; contains hits. Good dance tunes..

To preface: I am relatively new to using vinyls as a whole, so please take my opinion with a grain of salt.I really enjoyed the album itself. The music was very catchy. The vinyl was a bit wobbly, but I am not sure if that is typical of all vinyls or just this one? Overall, it is very nice. The sleeve is very sturdy, so it can be propped up to display currently playing all on its own. It comes with a paper for storing the vinyl itself, which is a nice touch. I personally think it's kind of fun that you know when it will wobble since it is a physical aspect of the record. The sound quality seems good, but I will admit that I am on a beginner player, so I can't vouch for how it would sound on a more advanced system.TL;DR: Overall, it's very nice for the price. Exactly what you would expect from a vinyl as a layman. Shipping went well, perfect condition; although that isn't part of the seller's review or entirely in their control.. I think they/Amazon chose a good shipping and packaging method.

Aunque me gusta más su FUTURE NOSTALGIA donde combina otros elementos y guitarras, éste disco es imprescindible para entender la evolución de la artista. Quizá sea mi segundo disco favorito. La entrega fue buena.
