A Night Nurse's Best Friend for fertility tracking!
I have an erratic sleep schedule, as I work nights as a nurse 3 days a week. I do not fall asleep or wake up at the same time on any given day. Tempdrop has been a godsend. Paired with tracking ovulation using OPKs and a fertility-friendly app (I recommend PreMom) that tracks both OPKs and Bbt in one chart, Tempdrop has been amazing. I am in my 3rd cycle utilizing it and as long as I get at least 3 hours of sleep in any 24hour stretch, it has been accurate and easy! The armband can be tightened or loosened but I always keep it a little tight so that the plate of the thermometer stays in contact with my skin at all times. It's not the most comfortable but you get used to it! It does leave a mark on your underarm but it goes away with time and doesn't bother me. You do not have to take it off if you get up to pee in the middle of the night, it recognizes when you are awake or asleep through movement, etc. The battery life says it lasts about 6 months. I'm on month 3 and I haven't had any issues so far, tbd. Pro tips: 1. Your temperatures adjust in the tempdrop app every time a new temp is added. For instance, once my temp is synced with the app, the previous 2 days of temps are adjusted so that when they are recorded on a chart (in another app -tempdrop app does not have charting yet), the progression is a steady incline or decline, so as to not look like your temps are erratic and staggered. If using a charting app -remember to adjust your previous days of temps depending on temp drop's adjustments. 2. The first 1-2 months utilizing tempdrop, the device is calibrating to your body, so the first cycle will not be accurate, but keep it going! Mine only took one month to appropriately calibrate and now works like a charm with totally appropriate temps. I even double checked with oral temping a few times.

The only way to track your BBT without waking up at the same time every day as far as I know...
With a traditional BBT you have to wake up at the same time every day to get an accurate reading, not with the Tempdrop! This is the whole reason I bought it, and for that, it works great! It's not uncomfortable, although did take a few nights to get used to. I had it over a year before I had to change the battery which was easy to do. I would prefer if it had a rechargeable battery that I could plug in to charge or even a small charging stand that could live on my bedside table with the Tempdrop. There's only one button, so at first I was not sure if it was recording my temp or trying to Bluetooth sync but it's easy now that I've got the hang of it. The bluetooth sync does take a minute or so, it feels like forever when I'm trying to get ready in the morning. I don't use the Tempdrop app, I just copy the reading over to Kindara. I wish it would sync with Kindara automatically, I have years of data there and I'm just not switching charting apps to use the one that comes with a new device. It is slightly overpriced, I don't think the technology (a thermometer and Bluetooth device) is that revolutionary that it should cost nearly $200 (at the time I bought it). I think the price is coming down but that's probably the main thing stopping most people from trying this. A traditional BBT thermometer is a couple of dollars at the drugstore (free with some NFP classes). Even if they lowered the cost to $30-$60 I'd bet many many more people would try it because tracking BBT is truly a pain without it. Finally, the Tempdrop team seems reluctant to advertise that it can also be used to help avoid pregnancy (as well as achieve it). However, I think if they leaned into the TTA market it would be great for the company and consumers. I would love to see this company succeed because I love the product. I love tracking my cycle/charting, it helps me know my body and feel empowered and I would love to see more women get into it. Right now, the price of the Tempdrop is exclusive but it's a great product and I think if they lowered the price and expanded the market it could be even better.

Broken and Useless
Updated Again to add: after inconsistent use for 3 years (only for a few months when I’m trying ti get pregnant) this tempdrop has been rendered completely useless. I have to open the tempdrop every time I try to use it because it won’t turn on due to the cheap chip they use no longer working when it touches the battery unless I bend the gold parts back to touch it. and then when I try to sync it, I have to do it again which destroys the sync data. Completely worthless and not worth 170 dollars. You can buy a basal thermometer for 35 dollars, and you should at this point because tempdrop now has a subscription service for their product that used to be free other than the sleep data. Really shady and shifty, and sad. Updated to add: I used to be able to see ovulation predictions without paying the premium subscription. I got pregnant and stopped using the tempdrop. Now that I’m not pregnant I am using it again and I’m sad to see you need the premium subscription for any prediction and use other than just logging the temp. I have another fertility tracker I’m interested in that I may replace this with. I had the premium subscription before just so I could use the sleep tracking aspect of the app but now that I need it for every aspect of what this product is supposed to be used for, it seems really cheap of the company to essentially sell a permanent subscription if you want any ease using their $170 product. I use this for tracking my fertility and now I pay for the subscription to track my sleep and I’m really finding a lot of value in that. I’ve used it for a little over a year and just bought the subscription recently and it is really incomplete without it, in my opinion. I find overall value is 4/5 due to high price paired with subscription. The biggest thing that helped me was buying one of those arm bands you put your phone in while you’re running and putting that on my leg at night and slipping the temp drop in there between the fabric and my skin. It has to be tight but not uncomfortable. I store the tempdrop in the pocket when not in use. Keeping the temp drop on my leg (always same leg, same spot) has made this possible for me. Otherwise it fell out every night and I’d lose it. It has been incredibly accurate and on the dot for predicting my cycle. I plan on using it to try to get pregnant soon as well.

Great, but have extra batteries handy
Really like the product, super accurate and so much easier than a thermometer in the morning. You might want to spend the money and get the newer version, the battery on mine died within a month. Luckily, I had other button batteries and it comes with a tool and instructions, super easy fix, but I wasn't expecting to change the battery so quickly.

♡♡Great for reading BBT for charting, but a little difficult to get used to at first!♡♡
☆☆LADIES THAT ARE TTC TEMPING BBT:☆☆ •••••••READ ME!!••••••••HONEST REVIEW!!••••••• I love TempDrop!! (But I do wish the arm band was different...they have a different style that wasn't an option when I first purchased, I havent tried it yet but plan to)! And I really wish the app had more to it! TEMPDROP YOU REALLY NEED TO STEP UP YOUR APP! But I enjoy not having to check my BBT every morning. It does it for Me all through the night and I appreciate that! In the beginning, it was a little hard to remember to put it on every night. But after the 14 days when their "algorithm" kicks in, You're in the habit of using it. It didn't take but a few days for me to get used to. And hitting that magical number of 14 days was a big motivator for Me to remember to put it on/chart. My hubby is so sweet sometimes he'll remind Me to put it on. Over all I've really liked this product. Their warranty is great! If anything is wrong with it they will do their best to fix it! The separate insurance you can buy is a little pricey but if something happens, You're completely covered. They are really awesome because they let You buy insurance months after You've had it and You can get a whole new TempDrop for about $100. Sometimes it turns off by itself during the night and doesn't record information which can be super frustrating, that's a kink they need to fix. I know its not human error because I know others it has happened to as well. But yeah, I highly recommend and have had a GREAT experience with Tempdrop!! In the photos: The box that everything came in, The TempDrop device. It comes with a little silk bag to store Your Tempdrop when not using it, and new plastic piece for the armband incase Yours breaks. NOT pictured is the green piece that helps You open the device to change the battery. Also! I love that TempDrop runs on an everyday normal watch battery. Easy and cheap to find! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡I LOVE TEMPDROP!!♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

Falls apart, easy to break, a nice idea but needs big improvement to be worth it
Honestly I am really unimpressed with this device. First impression - cheap plastic frame. unappealing, cheap and annoying to use band, and worst of all device never really seems secure in it's frame and often falls out when I'm trying to put the band on and off. I figured, "well if it tracks temp accurately then I can deal with that" - get past all the poor aesthetics and annoyances of constantly putting the device back in its frame. It DID work well for the first week!! Then, for some reason it stopped being able to pick up my data - the majority of the time I try to sync in the morning, I get an error message that there's "not enough data". I've read the manual, the facebook group, watched videos, researched other pages - I'm CERTAIN I'm wearing it in the correct spot in the correct way and I have it tight enough that it leaves a (very light) mark on my arm when I remove it. It doesnt seem to move at all through the night, and I fortunately sleep through the night without an issue so there is no reason I can see of why it cant pick up "enough data". Here's the real kicker. 6 weeks after getting it, the frame broke and pin flew out and I couldn't find it. The company won't replace the pins telling you that you need to go to a watch repair and get your own! Seriously, after spending almost $200 for this low quality product, they dont even offer replacements for their own cheap goods. Any of these things individually I could overlook as maybe a one-off or some kind of bug happening with my device. But taken all together ... I'm super unimpressed. It's 2020, there are no shortage of GOOD band options and materials so it should not be difficult or much more expensive to have a nicer frame that the device actually stays in and a decent band instead of this weird thing that so many people have trouble with. (I've had several smartwatches for $200 and under, and they all were sooo much better than this, I don't understand why tempdrop went with such a low quality band and frame option for what's likely decent technology.(tech- It seems like most people dont have the data retrieval problem I'm having so maybe thats something wrong with mine, so if the tech is good why not put it in more user-friendly frame and band.) For the price point, I'm pretty sure most people buying it would pay another $10-$20 for it to actually be a nice product to use instead of something that falls apart every time you try. I returned it and am going back to manual temp reading because it was way less frustrating than dealing with this thing each night and morning ;) Hoping for future product improvements and I'll be back.

I AM FINALLY ACCURATELY TRACKING MY PERIODS!!!
I have been wanting to track my cycles including ovulation and when to expect my period using my basal body temp and charting for YEARS now after reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility but I just could NOT get into the habit of temping because I wake up at all different times during the week, or I’d forget, or the thermometer would be too dark to see and I was too lazy to get out of bed or I’d be in a rush in the morning and skip it. I really wanted to get serious about tracking, though, and I randomly came across the TempDrop on Amazon and omg it has CHANGED MY LIFE. It’s so so so cool to be charting now, and SO EASY. I just slip my temp drop on my arm before bed, and then hit the button in the morning to sync quickly to the app - it’s super quick and easy and I’m actually seeing when I ovulate and I know when my period is going to come - life changing!! Absolutely worth the money in my opinion. I DID have an issue where after just 1 or 1 1/2 months the TempDrop just died on me - just wouldn’t turn on anymore and I was SO upset because I expected it to last way longer than that and because I was so upset to not be able to chart after charting my first full cycle and loving how easy it was. Well I had a GREAT experience with customer service and they had me send a video/photo of me trying to turn on the TempDrop and when I showed it wasn’t working they quickly sent me a new one. I’m so SO grateful and my new one has been working just great. I’m so grateful I came across TempDrop and so grateful for the customer service being willing to help!

I Like It But....App Needs To Be Better
I purchased this to help find when I am ovulating easier, and make it a lot easier to take my morning temperature on the days I either forget or I move around to much before taking my temperature and then I do not get a true reading. So far it works very well; however, the temperature is always lower than my Smart Basal Thermometer. I am not sure if where it sits on your under arm will always be cooler than under your tongue or if there is something wrong; but it has always been lower than my Smart Basal Thermometer for the past two to three months now. The arm band is comfortable however you do have to get use to it at first. But ones you are use to it then it is comfortable. The syncing is easy and really it does not take that long to sync. The app is easy to use as well; however, I wish there were more things to keep track of in the app. Furthermore, I wish it also synced with Apple Health too, and the graphs it puts out, I wish they were a little better than they are now. But all-and-all; it is still pretty good and I would purchase it again if I did not have one.
