A quick easy to get into read for anyone interested in learning about the history of Bigfoot!A good breakdown of different “kinds” of Bigfoot around the world, historical Bigfoot researchers, and historical Bigfoot events.Personally it’s a great foundational book for those getting started with the subject.

Being an armchair paranormal researcher with aspirations of one day investigating in the field, I can say that, hands down, this book is a must read when it comes to Bigfoot. Just the sheer amount of similarities between sightings that span decades all the way into the present is enough to make you stop and think "boy, that's pretty significant". I went from very skeptical to, like, 85% sure there must be a Bigfoot just like that. I highly recommend it.

Approaches the subject matter with historical lore from a global perspective. Steps back and reviews historical records. It was an enjoyable reading.

If you think you know all there is to know about our big hairy friend you'll be surprised at what Ken has uncovered.A great starting place for those just beginning to learn about the subject and a real eye opener for those who thought they knew it all - The Essential Guide to Bigfoot is essential reading for anyone with even a passing interest in the subject of cryptozoology. I highly recommend it!

Gerhard obviously feels that there is a relict hominid or giant ape wandering the wilds of North America and, if you accept this notion, then this book is fine introduction to the subject. Just be aware that the author does not give much attention to the high strangeness that often surrounds Sasquatch sightings so take the book for what it is: a fine introduction to the subject and its history.

The Essential Guide to Bigfoot has got to be one of the top 5 books written of all the on the subject of Bigfoot! Such a fun, fast and fascinating read that presents the facts on the history of the subject in a very comprehension way. No stone is left unturned as author Ken Gerhard takes the reader on a journey that leaves one feeling that they too are now an expert! A must read for anyone interested in Bigfoot!!

Lots of documentation regarding actual sightings of Bigfoot and Sasquatch. These were from reliable people and extra large footprints were also found.

Ken's most recent book 'The Essential Guide to Bigfoot' is one of the most comprehensive and enjoyable Bigfoot guides that I have had the pleasure to read. It's all there! Ken also gives you his knowledgeable personal assessments of the phenomenon as well. A must read for every Bigfoot enthusiast!

I did not want to finish reading this book....because it was so interesting! I’ve read many books about Bigfoot/Sasquatch and the like, but this one is way up the top of my list of outstanding books on this subject. The author KNOWS his stuff and writes with such a reader friendly manner that made reading effortless, explaining this subject with a non patronising style. This book will teach you a lot about Bigfoot and Littlefoot. I didn’t know much about the littler ‘foots’ but now I have found another subject to research and enjoy. I am a believer in these creatures, the evidence is too overwhelming and I’m so glad I happened upon Ken Gerhard and his vast knowledge of these hairy beasts. No doubt I’ll read his other books in the future. Once of the best gifts my partner bought me for my birthday - kudos for finding it. Thank you Ken, please write another about Bigfoot soon!

Well written,and researched,let's you decide on your own conclusions,eyewitness description and a few photos and drawing,I am still not sure if the big guy/girl is real but plenty to think about,and the author does talk about the fakes,and doesn't take everything on face value,great read even if you have a passing interest on Bigfoot.
