Fantastically heavy (weight-wise) book with excellent quality reproductions. Loved it.

A journey through the eyes of The inimitable basquiat

Whilst the quality of the edition is very good, I'd recommend buying a larger format to appreciate the prints more easily. I ordered this without checking the dimensions, and returned it when I found that the book was only a 20cm high version. I'm used to art editions being in a larger 30cm format.

Beautiful book! Very informative. Love the photos of his paintings.

Like a lot of people, it seems, I bought this book without checking its size. Just saw 20.00 for a 500 page hardcover and instantly clicked 'buy.' Before it arrived I happened to reread the description - 6 x 9 - and thought, oh well, that one's on me. When the book arrived, though, I was happily surprised. Beautiful book, beautiful illustrations that, in spite of being somewhat diminutive, still express the artist's power. A wonderfully well-crafted volume, though from Taschen we'd expect no less. Long and short, no regrets here; this is a great book to pick up if you don't feel like spending 200.00 for the Goliath version.

イギリスからベルギー経由で日本到着までは追跡できましたが、日本到着時点で配送完了表示となりました。その時点で荷物はまだ手元に届いていませんでした。誤配送で別の所に届けられた可能性も考えましたが、とりあえず当初の配達予定日まで待つことに。それ以降は自宅に届くまで追跡できず正直不安でしたが、最終的に発注時の予定日より1日早く郵便配達で届きました。landmarkから日本の郵便に引き継ぎの際、それまでの追跡番号が引き継がれずそこでデータ上配達完了となったのかもしれません。 本自体は漫画の豪華版みたいなコンパクトサイズで持ちやすく、内容もバスキアの作品を網羅的に年代順に見返せて満足です。アトリエやギャラリーでの展示風景や作画してるバスキアの写真などもちょこちょこ載ってるので久しぶりにバスキアの世界に浸れました。
