Most importantly...it does the job!
What I like?...I purchased this '63 Squire CV Jazzmaster reissue used, last month off Reverb. In excellent condition for 300 bucks. It'd swapped hands twice before I got it and had never been set up properly. I suspect that previous owners sold it because these guitars are notorious for string buzz esp at the 1st E string. Top E on mine was also terrible. I'm visiting my luthier as I'm writing this, and just finished set up and installed the buzz stop too. It's simple to install, remove the two forward screws on the vibrato tail piece Align the buzz stop over the vibrato holes and tighten the screws back in. Can't get any easier. These Squire JMs get a bad rap. But it's flawless now and plays like butter! Still has the original floating bridge but no strings slipping out of the bridge barrels anymore, thanks to the professional buzz stop. All I did was wrap a layer of electrical tape around the bridge posts to diminish the slop in the bridge posts and apply a little locktite to the bridge post screws to stop bridge from sinking as you play. Didn't even have to shim the neck. The action is a wee bit higher, than my 54 reissue American strat but I put D'Addario 9s on it to replace the cheap 9s that came on it. Thanks to the Professional Buzz Stop being incorporated into the set up, my cheapo $300 Jazzmaster, sounds a good as my $2000 Stratocaster. AND NO MORE BUZZ. I've been playing for over 60 years and all I can say if you have a Fender or the budget model Squire Jazzmaster you really should buy this rolling buzz stop!

Greater string tension means strings don't jump the saddles on my Jag
I absolutely didn't want to buy this item. I own a Squier VM Jaguar and while my problems are less pronounced than some others have reported, I would occasionally have strings jump the saddles (I also own two Jazzmasters with the same saddles and since their scale is longer there's more string tension... strings NEVER jump saddles on those -- others say theirs do -- so I do have a fairly light touch). I hear all this talk about buzzing and this is called a buzz stop, but my problem was insufficient string tension to keep strings firmly planted in the original saddles.I tried a number of solutions. I installed height adjustable Mustang saddles, but horizontal string tension was a problem. I bought an off brand bridge and installed it and my strings nearly came off the neck due to the width. I got a spare set of original saddles and filed deeper grooves to make the strings set down deeper. Nothing worked. Finally, I bought this as a last resort before getting a very expensive StayTrem bridge. Installation was super easy and the break angle of the strings below the bridge was increased sufficiently to put more tension on the strings and stop them from hopping out of the original saddles. In short, this fixed my bridge problems. I can't tell a real difference in sound. It sounds like a surf/alt guitar to me still.I definitely recommend this if your strings hop the saddles.

Excellent and affordable mod to improve the tremolo bridge functionality
This mod does a nice job of keeping the strings in place on the bridge and is not expensive. It also does not look bad, almost like it belongs in the guitar. It also installs quite easily, especially if done when changing the strings anyway.

String tension.
Can add a lot of string tension. Will definitely eliminate buzzing. Can be tricky to activate locking mechanism for the tremolo.

Great improvement to my Jazzmaster
Looks great, fits perfectly, easy to install and most important the string stability is greatly improved.

Eliminates buzz immediately.
Did the trick. Simple upgrade. Took me 10 minutes. Used on the Player Series Jag. Grab it if you’re cursed by the Jaguar love!

Ehhhh... it might have helped?
Well it didn't stop the buzz entirely for me. I had to get a replacement bridge as well to totally eliminate the buzz. I can't say for sure if the bridge did the job by itself or if this helps because I got this first, tried it with some but not total buzz reduction. Then later on I replaced the bridge, and only then did my buzz go away for good. So all in all, it might help? Try the bridge first I'd say though. In my case the bridge was cheaper than this thing.

Immediate difference. I'm impressed!
The Buzzstop is an amazing (and amazingly simple device). I installed it on the tailpiece of my Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar and saw an immediate difference in the playability and string stability of my guitar. Easy to install, very affordable, and it works! I recommend it to anyone having intonatation or string stability issues on their offset Fender/Squier guitars. If you have the old-fashioned roller-style saddles, the Buzzstop will make a profound and immediate difference on your guitar.
