Love this pan!!
I've been in search of a non-stick pan that lasts me more than 2 years for a long time. I have weaker hands and wrists, so practically using my cast iron 12" pan just was out of the question, I couldn't move it around to clean it out after use, and having to wait on the hubby was annoying. I tried stone pans, I tried copper pans, I tried ceramic coated pans. I was looking for something that worked on my induction stove, too. I tried a carbon steel pan from another manufacturer, but it warped on first use. The company sent me another, which also warped. After much thought and hessitation, I invested in this pan. BOY AM I GLAD I DID!! It is heavier than my last carbon steel pan, but it's all in the bottom where it doesn't warp. It heats and cooks wonderful well on my induction stove top. I seasoned it a couple times prior to using it, and this weekend it successfully passed my tests, it cooked and released eggs as well as non-stick, and it evenly cooked crepes without sticking, too. With care it should last me the rest of my life, no more non-stick hassle for me!!

Good, heavy camp skillet
I haven't used this item yet, but let's be real--it's a skillet. Not much mystery in how it's going to work. This is a thick walled, long-handled skillet that's perfect for campfire cooking. The handle is solidly riveted into place, as is the helper handle. It's nicely finished and pre-seasoned although I seasoned it myself upon receipt. It's heavier than I'd like for use at home, but that's me. Nice product!

Top quality commercial pan
This is a full-on commercial carbon steel pan, 3mm thick. Because it is carbon steel it can rust if not seasoned, but that’s what is done with these pans. It is capable of becoming non-stick when it’s seasoned. It can go into a hot oven without damage and looks and feels like it will outlast me. It was recommended to me by a professional chef who uses one at home. It works really well on my induction stove.

Nice large size carbon steel pan
I decided to go with a carbon steel pan as opposed to non-stick pans which only last a few years before the non-stick becomes no good. These pans cost more, but they should last you a lifetime. And if you ruin your non-stick finish, you can always start over and re-season your pan to get it back to optimal shape. Plus you don’t have to worry about the poisonous gas that those teflon pans give off when they get too hot. If you get this large size pan, it’s pretty heavy. It’s not like an aluminum frying pan. It’s more like a thick stainless steel pan. But a bit lighter than a cast iron pan. A pan like this your not going to using it to flip stuff in the pan since it’s so large and heavy. One thing to note with these pans is the handle is coated epoxy, so they are not fully oven safe. I believe they said you can put it in the oven for only like 10 minutes at 350 degrees or something like that. I don’t think that’s a problem with this pan since it’s so large and it’s handle is also very long, and won’t probably fit in your oven. But with the coating, the handle doesn’t heat up as fast so you can’t use it longer for needing a pot holder or towel to hold the handle. All of the Mineral B pans have this epoxy coating on it. So they are not truly oven safe in high temperatures over any prolong time. So if you really can’t season in the oven at high temperatures. If you arr getting a smaller sized pan and want to finish up your food in the oven, just be aware of this. DeBuyer does make other pans that don’t have the epoxy coating on the handles. But they are one of the thicker carbon steel pans. Coming in at 3mm. So they retain their heat better and there is also less chance of warping than those thinner pans. Overall a nice pan that should last you a lifetime and one you can pass it on to your kids.

Loved the pan such that I ordered another one.
Shown in the picture is the pan seasoned already. It came with a shiny silver finish with a very minor rust spot that was easily scrubbed out (this version does not have the beeswax protection coating). Since it’s a 14 inch pan, you need a large heat source to evenly heat it. But after multiple use, it was able to pass the non stick fried egg test.

Favorite sear pan
We got this for searing steaks after sous vide. The 14" is just right for the job. It's nice to be able to get the super hot surface and I've been using tongs to get the edges nice and crisp. We use it for browning other meats and the pan has blackened nicely as it is seasoning in. I have done bacon and sausage and it helped give the pan a nice non stick quality. Highly recommend this for every cook's collection

Solid, well made large pan.
Heavy, well made pan. Seasoned over a flame with flax seed oil 3 full coats. My family's new favorite pan for anything really, sauteeing, frying, sauces, gravies, etc.. This is a large pan an a bit unwieldy for 1-2 serving dishes so keep that in mind. 10/10 would recommend for sho.

AMAZING!
I still need to get used to the idea of not really washing the pan, but apart from this, I really love it. It's easy to use, easy enough to clean, and it does help cook the best meat. I also love the idea that I can keep it forever.

This is not the first one I have bought so I knew already the value of this pan.
