Wafu Wasabi Edamame Dressing, 9.8-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 12)

The dressing has a bit of a punch, and when fish is marinaded in it... mm....So thankful it's kosher!

Very light with the right amount of wasabi. I use it as a steak marinade and a cucumber salad dressing.

I had an opportunity to try Wafu's Wasabi Edamame Japanese Dressing for free from Swaggable! I have tried edamame before, and I did not care for it. I have never tried wasabi, but I enjoy spicier food than most so I was excited to taste this product.The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was the light scent of vinegar. I expected a creamier dressing--something akin to ranch--but its lighter consistency resembled that of Italian. (While the product name does not indicate it, I discovered that the package does indicate that the dressing is a vinaigrette.)First, I tried the dressing on a bed of plain Romaine lettuce so that I could get a full feel for its flavor. It was not as spicy as I anticipated, but the taste was unique, something that you savor a bit while you think, "Hmmm..." I noticed the wasabi kick here. Then, I used the remainder on a wrap sandwich that I made with a flour tortilla, thinly sliced ham, mozzarella cheese, and lettuce. I noticed the vinegar tang here.A 1.5oz serving is 90 calories, has 8g fat (0g trans fat), 0mg cholesterol, 420mg sodium, and 1g sugar. The product has no artificial colors/flavors and is Kosher. For those with allergies, it contains WHEAT and EGG products and PRESERVATIVES. It is manufactured in Canada.

I don't think there is any other dressing out there in this flavour. It's not heavy on the wasabi at all. Just a bit to give it the punch. Makes for totally unique salads. Mostly fresh tasting from the edamame. Goes great with steak!
