Fantastic piece of kit for a hgv driver

The SD card is missing, so I am now trying to wrestle with their tech support to sort this out for me (they don't work weekends)The Windows software that it uses is very slow and clunky, almost to a point where you start laughing out loud waiting for it to respond.I must be very unlucky and have a defective unit, because the touch screen is off by 5mm. To select anything on the screen I have to touch 5mm below it. That can't be right! Hahaha.Just so you know too:There are no traffic updates.To update the maps is a ball-ache using a PC.The graphics look like something from my old Sinclair ZX81. (That's a really old PC by the way, for anyone under the age of 40)I took a punt on this because my old trusty Tomtom pro got broke, and now it looks like I am stuck with this and I'm kicking myself because I knew in my heart for the money, it was possibly going to be a let down. However I didn't think it would be not fit for purpose though.Will be returning.

So far so good, I had the older s5000 that lasted me 14 years so if this one does 7 years I'll be happy.My only criticism is that the power lead could do with being 50cm longer as some trucks the accessory socket is quite away away from the corner of the screen.

Like the compact doesn’t cause a problem with vision when mounted to windscreen.

Not bad navigation, simple, basic but easy to use. Don’t waste your money with this model for the built in dash cam, it’s poor, low res and struggle with anything other than perfect light.

This kept switching off and took ages to reset.It was sent back and never replaced.

Absolute best truck nav. Live traffic updates all round best iv used. And never hit a low bridge yet.Eddie stobart should put these in all their trucks.👌👌
