Like it more than Kitanica
It took me a long time to pull the trigger on this because I was worried the quality would be poor compared to the Kitanica MK I. I did not care that it was half price, I would have shelled out the money for the Kitanica if I liked it more. I think this one is considerably better, and yes it's half the price, no brainer! • No branding; Kitanica branding is pretty ugly • This grey version has grey matching buckles; the Kitanica Grey has black buckles which does not look good • Extra Molle loops and a pocket on the left arm • Half the price, there is no noticeable quality difference, it's 1000D versus 1000D, stitching looks fantastic on this. I am really tough to fit clothes (5'6" 175, 43 shoulders, 32 waist). I was hoping the small would fit so the arms wouldn't be long and ordered that but no way, the small would not fit (nylon does not stretch over time, how it fits is how it fits). Had to return the small and got the medium. It fits fantastic, the arms are a little long for me but that's normal for my height/size. That's the only con as well as cordura being a bit noisy when you're moving, but all cordura shells are noisy.

Super tactical. Super fun. Super stiff. SUPER AWESOME!
Super tactical looking and super stiff feeling. This jacket is AWESOME. It contains loads of straps and buckles, molle webbing all over, and zippered pockets everywhere.

Bad m$&@*%#+<}r!!!
When I bought this coat, there weren't any reviews yet so I took a chance on it. I never write reviews but felt I had to for my fellow tact gear lovers. I've spent 14 collective years in the military and wish they issued bad ass jackets like this. It's clearly going to last a long time. Very durable. Pockets in all the right places, and stays a bit stiff and that's a plus for me. Couple this with some tactical pants and no nonsense boots and you'll look like you are in a call of duty photo shoot. Problem is I get stopped all the time to get asked where I got it. I bought the black in large which gives me plenty of room to wear a fleece and or sweater for colder days and just bought the medium desert color for t shirt and jacket days. I'm 6' 205 so I'm hoping I didn't make a mistake with the medium but I'll see soon. I carefully removed the shoulder flap where pen holders are in order to where an American flag patch which fits perfect and I wear my 2nd armored division unit patch on my right arm. My only complaint is there seems to be a zipper for a fleece jacket liner but it does not come with one but who cares?, I've got plenty of those and this is one bad ass jacket.

Good stuff though with some flaws, read below
Very cool. Extremely durable and well made for a Chinese knock off. I bought a medium, I’m 6’0, 165 lbs, athletically built and it fits nicely. I even had room to wear a thick fleece under it. Works well in the wind but not quite “windPROOF” and the waterPROOFing is not quite correct because it still absorbs water after a while. That said, it is very wind and water RESISTANT. Important distinction to be made there. The resistance to wind and water is great but it is not quite wind and water proof. The 1000D cordura is awesome material but not the same as what a true wind/water proof jacket is made of. MUCH more durable though than what those jacket’s shells are made of (typically). Quality control gripe: mine came with one side of the waist adjustment strap torn off but not a deal breaker, I just looped it into the plastic piece and zip tied it. This where that whole Chinese knock off part shows. Personal taste related gripe: the buckles that go all the way up the front are kinda weird and unnecessary. Still not sure why those are there or what intended function they are supposed to have. Price gripe: I wish I took a picture of this but I didn’t and it’s too late due to trash pickup, but I paid $270 USD for multicam. The receipt/customs form from China had it listed as valued at $80 USD.... c’mon now. At least try to hide that. The fact that Zapt hiked the price by over 300% is dirty but expected, they are a business afterall. BUT, don’t rub it in. Insult to injury man. All things considered, I’m satisfied enough to give it 4 stars, would have been 5 if not for that torn strap and blatant price gouging. Plus a little product exaggeration.

Great quality!
Quality of this jacket is superb! Very thick and heavy weight. Well worth the money!

Order small
5’8” 215 lbs and the medium fits like a glove. The jacket is amazing and feels great. The only thing I am disappointed by is there is a zipper for a zip in liner but apparently no liner is available.

Very durable
This jacket is awesome! Excellent durability, looks bad ass and has plenty of storage. I take very long hikes and needed a good waterproof durable jacket that could also carry a lot of gear in place of my chest rig. This definitely checked all the boxes. Love the additional webbing so I can attach extras depending on what I need that day. It is stiff at first but over time with usage becomes more flexible. Very happy with my purchase! If you’re thinking of buying one of these jackets I highly recommend that you pull that trigger!

Absolutely love it
(Hubby review) Really rugged and tactical. Looks and fits like motorcycle jacket. Doesn't impede my pistol draw and I have plenty of room for movement. I'm 5' 10" 190lbs and the large fit me with very little room for more than a polo underneath it. I paired it with the pants and they match perfectly. So glad I finally pulled the trigger on this jacket.

Nice jacket, made in the USA! That makes it worth the higher price. If you order from Canada, you will pay almost fifty bucks in duty at the post office, that was a bit surprising but still worth it! Im 5'11" 180lbs, ordered the extra large and on its own its a bit big but with a hoodie or a somthing warm under it, it fits great! Also my tactical plate vest fits over it like the two were made for each other! Update! Just went for a epic motorcycle ride, this jacket is windproof at 60 miles an hour! Second update! Rode my bike through a severe thunderstorm, the jacket was 98% waterproof, the contents of my pockets remained 100% dry, this is a great motorcycle jacket!

Credit where credit is due, the material that this is made from is extremely robust, however for me this caused some issues: The mobility in the jacket is very limited. If you lift your arms anywhere above shoulder level, because of the stiffness the jacket begins to lift up, unlike most other regular jackets I own. Personally I believe this issue can be fixed by employing the same design solution mid-high end tactical trousers use; insert small patches or strips of an elastic material at points of articulation. Meaning possibly putting some elasticated material somewhere under the arms and potentially around the elbows too. I also personally believe that the jacket has too much material on the back, however it may be functional, I just haven't noticed how. It's very noticeable when looking from the side-on how much of the material sits at the back of the jacket. I'll credit the sizing though...my regular size is extremely large on me, and therefore I actually had to go 1 size down from usual for it to fit me properly. It has good adjustability at points too, like in the waist and the wrists for example. Those can be adjusted with the respective nylon webbing tri-glides and velco systems. The molle system on the front of the jacket is very useful too, good for attaching small molle phone holders, magazine pouches and even flashlight pouches. The arm has a few molle slots too for anything additional which is nice. The Jacket has a multitude of pockets inside and outside the coat. However, I'm not a fan of the outer chest pocket as it sits crinkled and creased most of the time, given no padding or proper stitching to make it look like a feature of the actual coat - instead looking quickly stitched onto the jacket. What's nice is that it is windproof, has two zips and feels like a very secure coat. It's good for keeping warm in the Winter especially, whilst keeping thin enough not to become a wearable greenhouse. Overall it's quite nice and feels a decent quality, but comes across slightly unfinished, so could benefit from some design updates.
