I have dyed my hair red for the past 3 years and this has been the only product I used to dye my hair red.

VERY intense True Red! I love it! ❤️❤️. You should expect skin staining( use Vaseline), color transfer on towels and sheets (washes out easily). Well worth the price.

Wish it lasted longer but honestly for the cost its worth it. The color is vibrant and its not heavy chemical smell like some are.

I got this color as a cover up. Got a brand I've used before but it turned my hair orange, so I decided to go with this flame red to cover it up. It worked great. I love this color BUT it stains horribly like a semi permanent color. Have a bottle of 99% alcohol at the ready for your tub, trust me! It does not stain as bad or as quickly as a semi permanent, but it definitely isn't like a typical permanent color. Having 99% alcohol will help get rid of any staining on your skin and tub after applying. It will also bleed with every wash! So blow dry your hair or wear old t shirts you don't mind getting color on until your hair is dry. I probably won't get this brand again as it's a lot of clean up work I don't have time for. If I really want this red and can't get close from another brand and have time, I'll put in the work. So just be aware, the reviews are right. GREAT COLOR, BUT it bleeds and stains everything!

Ok the initial smell of this dye is not so pleasant while mixing it. It's got a little bit of a fishy oder, & I was worried that's what I was going to smell like for day's after applying it to my hair. Thankfully that wasn't the case. Once it was mixed, within a few minutes after the fact the scent changed & was a sweeter type smell. I went by the title of the color, more than the picture of the red it was showing. I went from always being blonde, to stepping out of the box & going bright red about a year ago now. I've been trying different brands, to see which one may be my go to brand to achieve the tone & longevity of the bright red I desire. I was a little worried by the picture I was going to have orange'ish red hair, but that was not the case. It came out to be the perfect bright red I was going for. Though my hair was bleached under the last washed out red, then turned into a light washed out magenta, & had about 2in of my dark brown roots grown out. This color evenly colored my roots & ends to look almost the same shade of red, I was pleasantly surprised since it suggests it best to have bleached hair prior to coloring. Also my hair was super shiny after using the conditioner, I left on for 30min instead of 3min as they suggest. I would recommend wearing gloves while rinsing your hair, so you don't have red hands for 3 day's. Also for those who haven't done the bright red before, prepare to have dye on your pillow case when you wake up, the top of your lighter colored shirts will look pink, maybe streaks of color down your face if you sweat, & even though I use as cold of water as I can stand washing, & rinsing my hair, & use a color extending shampoo & conditioner, the color bleeds... the grout in my shower is always pink after I shower. Mind you this is what I have found to be the case with every brand of red I've tried, with the semi permanent the worst one of course I'll never do that again. On that note happy coloring, & just remember sometimes the outcome of what you want your hair to look like, is worth the extras that may come with it.
