A brilliant novel of the 50th animated film
This novel is brilliant and an excellent companion to the brilliant film. Rapunzel is a beautiful girl whose long blonde hair holds a very valuable secret- it can heal any wound even time! Mother Gothiel who has stolen the Princess keeps her locked up in a very tall tower. Luckily Rapunzel has a friend in Pascal, a cute chameleon. However when the thief Flynn Rider enters her life, nothing is ever the same again for Rapunzel who wants to see the magic lights that appear only on her birthday... My favourite characters are Pascal and Maximus the horse that thinks its part bloodhound, who steal every scene they are in. The only way this book could of been improved would be to add the Wedding mini story (Tangled Ever After) to it.

Tangeled
I liked this book it's the exact same story of the movie. This book includes details that were not in the movie, that's what I liked most about it. I didn't like that the book was very cheaply made. For kids your need something sturdier.

“Rapunzel, let down your hair!”
What young girl didn’t dream of having long hair? I know I certainly did. 70ft of hair might be pushing it though. The film/novelization shows Rapunzel brushing it, but never mentions having to wash it. Can you imagine how often it would clog the drain?Tangled is one of my favourite Disney films of recent years, and this junior novelization is really good. The author manages to cover the multiple musical interludes seamlessly, which is always an issue with novelizations. The Disney novelizations stock to certain authors to make the film come alive on the page, and Irene Trimble has done a great job of this. She has also done the novelizations for Brave, The Incredibles, Wreck It Ralph, and Meet The Robinson’s, amongst others. While you won’t find any significant changes from screen to page (additional scenes/dialogue etc), these are certainly great short books for a cosy afternoon off work, or if you’re desperately trying to make your Goodreads target before the end of the year.

Fast-paced (and humorous) adventure
Really good read with a unique perspective since this is a tale of a heroine and a hero. I’ve written about the novelizations of The Little Mermaid, Cinderella, and Frozen, so some of those might relate?-I found this to be more casually written (not a bad thing, btw) Italics were used for emphasis and more sound words (examples: “CRASH!”, “BANG”, “CLACK”, etc.) This is probably because this is an action, adventure book and more fast-paced than the other Disney novelizations that I’ve read.My favourite chapter was probably 19: where Maximus and Rapunzel+Flynn meet. I was smiling the whole time as it was really funny to see not only the reactions of each of the characters, but also what they thought too.For an adult reader, there might be some trivia tidbits that could be interesting. Admittingly, I haven’t examined the movie, but it was cool to read what the subjects of the books Rapunzel had (didn’t think that was mentioned in the movie?). Also, the tour of the village was elaborated upon very nicely and added some lovely characterization/couple moments-So, should you buy?Great read! In my opinion, this book was a very good adaptation of the movie and would be a good read to any Tangled fan. As my title suggests, I consider this an action/adventure, but there’s comedy and romance as well. Because this read so easily, it was rather quick and I kinda wish the ending was a bit more drawn out.5/5
