I enjoyed this book very much. I learned about how our ancestors got to Canada and how they strived. I would definitely recommend this book.

"I Came as a Stranger" is an excellent introduction to the history of the Underground Railroad, valid from both the Canadian and the American POV. Short, snappy, interesting, never declines to the level of dreary textbookism. (I made that word up.) I liked it very much.
