My Husband Loves His Latest Cooking Apparatus!
The functionality is great! Easy to reel up and down and we are still using it today for hot dogs, toasting buns, steaks and more!

Loved it.
We used it to cook chicken at the campsite. They were yummy. It is sturdy, held a dozen chicken legs and 4 good size things. Make sure to bring oven mitts, you will need them to hold the chain getting the chicken off. Easy clean up, since we sprayed it with Pam before cooking.

STOP reviewing if you haven’t used this for more than hot dogs and a low fire!
Are you kidding me? So wobbly once assembled and even after you brace it, you’re dealing with that as you move a percolator and skillet around. The chains… MELTED and dumped our food and coffee into the fire lol! Why did a reviewer have the same issue and give 4 stars? Pleeeease for the love of GOD stop reviewing Chinesey made CRAP that Amazon loves to purvey to us all - as utilizable and as described! Run from this - assemble your own with the help of a good local hardware store all you need is the grate and they’ll even have that. So ticked about how high these reviews are. Used ONCE with a normal enamel camp percolator and a 6” personal cast iron skillet LOL. What a joke. All three chains and the main ring melted and failed. Boooooooo.

Simple set up, solid results
This was my first time using a tripod set up over an open fire. The set up was super simple, despite there being no directions. The 22 inch grate was big enough for 3 racks of baby back ribs. Burgers or other items that need attention, my be a bit more difficult with a swinging grate.I wrapped the seasoned ribs in heavy duty foil, and let them "swing" over a maintained fire for 3-4 hours. I then finished them by taking the unwrapped ribs, sauced them, and placed them back on the grate directly over the fire. Gave them some nice smoke and sticky bark. It made 10 hungry guys very happy.
