Robust, reliable controller
Have used various generations of these Dig controllers for 15yrs. This model is the best of the lot; curing several weaknesses from previous versions.A snap to install - about 5 mins - and reasonable to set up though I did need the manual ( 20 mins).I'm using it for v low flow drip irrigation. Works as expected. Keeps working with 110 F sunshine though the screen goes black temporarily. Just 2 AA batteries and long life is a major improvement. Will probably need to change the washers and scrub off limescale in a couple of years.Expected life about 12yrs based on previous versions.

Pool Owners, CHECK IT OUT!
My neighbor had this exact valve on her swimming pool fill spigot. So I had to have one, after 10 years of turning the leaky manual valve, sometimes forgetting to fill the pool, or overfilling it. So now, just set it and forget it! You can install it easily in just a few minutes on any common Orbit or Champion valve. If your current valve leaks, get a gasket kit at Home Depot for $6. Amazon's got it all, don't they? The drip Depot sent this timer within 3 days!

Battery Operated Sprinkler Valve
It beats a faucet hose timer for watering where no electrical outlets exist by powering an entire installed sprinkler system. I've used them for years but they do fail after a while. It might be that Dig has stopped making these, so do your homework.

Best solution for valves that don't have electrical nearby
Works great, and replaces one of the older units of a similar design that died after 3-4 years and would no longer shut off completely. Don't have any long term experience with it, but hope it lasts years, too.

Really worth the price.
So glad I found this. Really easy to program, but the best part is the batteries are supposed to last 3 years. I used to get 6-8 months on 9v batteries with the other brand controller.
