easy to shade
super easy to add depth to and miniature but make sure to mix and let it dry ...does dry glossy to expect to add a varnish of your choice after

DO NOT USE ON MODELS!
DO NOT USE ON MODELS. This is NOT a water-based paint. It is a pain in the butt to clean up. Wear rubber gloves. It leaves the model shiny and does not pool well into the cracks well. It is expensive for what it does. I highly recommend using a bottle Vallejo Wash instead of this paint. I will never buy another can again

Works Great! but a few tricks help.
I love this product and have been using it for years with stunning results. A few important notes: 1. I do not recommend dipping and then shaking the models as per the instructions as this just waist material and its expensive. Inst-ed you should just brush it on, however any brush you use for this will be ruined so use cheap ones. 2. if you do not get the lid properly sealed after use the product will go bad in a short amount of time. 3. it does leave the models with a very shinny coat that does not look good, fortunately they also make a spray on mat varnish that solves that problem.

Great Shader... Don't use a nice brush
This makes minis look insanely better than before. Seriously a must for painters of tons of minis. Only issue I have had is that whatever this stuff gets on, it is VERY difficult to get off, including nice brushes I used them with. They are now hardened and useless even after multiple washes after use. I recommend using something cheap to brush this on AND for you to use a pair of gloves while applying.

Very thick and viscous
This product claims to be for miniatures, but I think it would be better for varnishing a deck or woodworking project. The product is very thick, even when mixed thoroughly, and leaves a sticky coating on anything you treat with it even after being left to dry for days. Because it is so thick, I am only using this for shading terrain projects as I think any small models would be completely ruined by it. I found that sealing it with a matte varnish afterwards helps to mitigate the stickiness a bit, but I hate that this stuff is billed as a varnish that you still have to varnish again afterwards.

Amazing! just stir well.
amazing! first use i was a little concerned about it not being dark enough or watered down, but the second time i gave it extra stirring and its perfect! defiantly going to keep getting this!

Quickshade
great product, saving time and effort to shade my models, I suggest buying the matte-clear spray as well, unless you want the glossy look. personal note: when it says to shake the excess off your model, shake vigorously, unless you want bubbles or excessive buildup of it on the model

Buyer beware. Not the same as the Dark Tone bottle.
See photos for side by side comparison of the Dark Tone dip vs. the bottle version. The models were both primed using Army Painter Uniform Grey primer spray then painted using Army Painter Hardened Carapace. Pros: - The wooden dowel I used to stir this stuff is a gorgeous shade of shiny black. Cons: - Super glossy and brownish finish like Strong Tone - Even the labels on the bottle and can are different colors - Slow drying compared to bottled version - Does not thin with acrylic paint thinner - Smells like wood varnish - It's wood varnish
