After shopping around for studs and spikes, I settled on this kit for pyramid studs. I was pleasantly surprised that this kit came with a storage case and a leather awl. I have not used the awl as my jacket is made of denim, but it seems to be of decent quality and will come in handy for other projects. The studs have very sharp mounting pins that are easy to push through heavy denim and can be easily crimped with a metal implement like pliers, a thimble, or screwdriver. The finish is shiny and smooth, making things like satchels and backpacks easy to slip over garments studded with these pieces. It takes time to place these studs, but that's part of the fun of crafting. Take your time and make sure that each stud is flush mounted and that the pins are securely crimped in place.

Great product

I wasn’t sure exactly how much 500 studs would be but it’s actually a lot! They have 4 points of connection which feels more secure than the 2 points— plus they don’t stick up on the edges like the other ones so they’re less likely to get caught on stuff an pull off. They come with an awl for tougher materials and it helps make them easier to install. They look great and shine like crazy— highly recommended!

Perfect and easy to use.

I bought them to put studs down the side of my jeans. The studs look great but they were very hard for me to put in. Using the tool I could get them in but it was hard for me to bend the tines to make them stay. I'm still working on it 🙂

Easy to put on

These studs are sturdy and come in a nice container so I don't have to worry about spilling them or losing them. I think it's cool it came with an awl but I'm using them on denim so it's not necessary. At first I wasn't convinced there were actually 500 studs so I counted them and yep, there were 500 lol. I really don't think this price can be beat. I doubt I'll need more but if I do I will be back.

i bought these for my boyfriend because he likes to diy clothes and such, and he said it was perfect! comes with so many and the container they are stored in is super nice! i’ve ordered studs before and they just came in a plastic baggie, so i appreciated the storage. definitely worth the money!
