Like all china radio's can be a learning curve to program direct. Chirp works perfect with this radio. Has exceeded my expectations in receive and transmit capabilities with just the stock antenna, very useful as a portable cross band'r as it is a stand alone radio. if it proves as durable as a $25 Baofeng then I have purchased a winner. I have been using daily for 3 weeks testing different aspects of use for this radio and satisfied with it.

I bought this rig after watching it being reviewed by Ham Radio Crash Course. I use it everyday with a Signal Stuff antenna and get good signal reports. The 10W output makes it suitable as a mobile rig and I am currently using it in the car with a magmount MFJ dual-band antenna.

Works and dose it’s job.

Unable to load Chirp software due to Apple incompatibility, no other alternative provided

This looked like a good radio based on a few YouTube reviews. It is a solid built radio. I planned to return this radio and went so far as to tell Amazon I was going to return it. When I went to the post office I found out it will cost $61 to return. Manual has minimal information, much like a Baofeng manual. When I was listening to a conversation on a local repeater the reception was intermittent .(Not due to my moving around.)This radio finally became unusable. I cannot program it either with Chirp or the Wouxun software. I cannot enter a ham frequency from the key pad. Tried full reset, no luck.

comes with a good charger, even a good antenna. Great value for the money.

I was sent a radio not for use in the USA and thus did not support proper frequencies. The correct model would probably be great.
