This Raw Manuka Honey helped me get over a bad coughing spell. I was visiting a friend in NY and wouldn't you know it, I caught bronchitis before my trip. I did get better before the trip but still had that awful cough. My friend made me a hot cup of tea made with fresh squeezed lemon juice and a teaspoon of the Raw Manuka Honey. I had this cup of tea for 3 to 4 days. It really helped tame my cough while in NY. Now back home and my chest congestion is completely gone. (Typically my bronchitis cough last for up to one month) This honey is not your typical honey and it looks and tastes differently. I purchased two honey jars and will continue to make the lemon tea.Also during my trip in NY, I developed some irritation in my gum and thought I may need to see my dentist when I get back home. But after I had the lemon Manuka tea, it soothed the gum irritation and I no longer have any discomfort in my gum. This Raw Manuka Honey has been amazingly helpful.My two jars of Raw Manuka Honey were packaged very well. I inspected both jars and their contents. Had the carmel coloring and texture. It tasted exactly like the Raw Manuka Honey my friend used in NY.Very happy with my purchase.

This is my THIRD purchase of this brand of Manuka honey but my first from Amazon.com.OMG! I could write a book about all the things I've used this for. I've used it for tooth abscess, 3rd degree burns, cellulitis, blood poisoning from an animal bite (TWO different occasions). One time the bite was behind my ankle & so severe my leg was very swollen, I had chills/fever, couldn't put any weight on that leg & I had gotten a WIDE dark purplish/black streak going up the inside of my thigh. I was out of my honey so my family drove me to an acute care clinic where I was RX'd drugs I was ALLERGIC to. I immediately went to a health food store, got some of this honey, bandaged the wound with it & within 30 minutes the pain was beginning to subside. The next day my leg was MUCH better and I was walking normally.To me, it is the BEST remedy for acid reflux, GERD, heart burn (whatever you want to call it). The list goes on & on. I even use it for my pets. One of my African greys was attacked by a large macaw - SEVERE damage to his face, eye, beak. I sprayed colloidal silver on his face/head wounds & his eye (whhich was swollen shut & had pus in it) & gave it to him in an eye dropper to drink, Manuka honey on the open wounds on his beak & face ONLY (GREAT for pain relief as well as infection) & fed him therapeutic doses of Royal jelly 3 X's a day. His beak/jaw was injured & he could hardly eat. It was very serious & "touch & go" for about a week but about 2 months later you couldn't tell anything had happened to him. He had some serious wounds but today - not even a scar & he even cracks & he has no problem cracking/shelling his favorite nuts - almonds.Last summer I had a NASTY wound to my leg (some metal gouged the flesh from my leg - about the size of a dried date). There was no skin flap so the wound couldn't be stitched. The only thing I used was Manuka honey and a large, thick bandage which, because of the bleeding, had to be changed several times a day for about a week. This took several months to COMPLETELY heal. The honey kept the skin moist to prevent a scab from forming and today no one notices unless I point it out to them.I read recently about inferior Manuka honey being sold by unscrupulous dealers to check the brand to make certain it is certified. Although I didn't find this brand on the list of "certified" Manuka distributors, I'd purchased this brand twice before so I took the chance & this jar has been just as good as the two I'd gotten at the health food store.It's taken care of a tooth abscess (pain went away quickly, infection gone almost overnight & still have my tooth), used it on my dog & cat, & cuts/scrapes/burns & other things so far & it's performed beautifully.

Having ordered this item several times, I see no need to review it, The honey is truly delicious. I would like to say that Nutrition Depot are also wonderful. I ordered the item at the weekend and it arrived on Wednesday with free shipping; it doesn't get any better than that for exceptional service. I would say though that ND need to package the item correctly. It was wrapped in bubble which is fine, but for it to be protected, the bubbles need to be next to the item, not on the outside. There were packing peanuts in the box which is also fine, but make sure the item is in the middle of the box, not at one end where there are no peanuts....common sense or what? Better still, forget the peanuts and use recycled paper. I'm very much for protecting the environment in any small way I can. Anyway, recommend the product, the producer, and Nutrition Depot.

Manuka honey is wonderful. I use it to sooth my esophagus from the affects of GERD (helps with hoarseness, too). It works very well for that and for general health. I read so many wonderful reviews on this for wound healing that I sent a jar of it to my son's father-in-law in Maui who had a wound in his toe that was not healing. He is a diabetic and the doctors were telling him that they were going to have to remove his toe and possibly his foot. They had been giving him antibiotics and ointments for over 2 years and had given up hope. I told them about this honey and its healing properties and it literally healed the hole in his toe in less than 6 months, I remember he took it by mouth as well and swore he could feel tingling in his hands almost immediately apparently helping his circulation. That's what he said, and whether or not that is factual I cannot say. but my son saw it healing his toe, and the last time the doctors checked it they said to keep doing what he's doing. Sometimes natural healing remedies work where modern medicine does not.
