Ugly Stik Elite Spinning Fishing Rod

Love the Ugly Stick, one of the best pole out there.

Bought a cheap rod which broke after 30 casts. Should have bought this rod first. Classic Ugly Stik quality. Works like a champ.

It works. Great quality from ugly stick as expected.

Nice light duty rod

Headline says it all. Lifetime buyer of Ugly Stik rods due to how good they are and the price range. The Elite series are comfortable all day of throwing lures, well balanced and light and sensitive to feel hit of a fish.

Great product

I bought this in the 6 foot and it is not like in the picture. I had thought that the two pieces will be like the picture which has the big guide attached to the main piece that holds the reel, but the big main guide is actually attach to the other piece; the main guide is attached to the second piece of the rod to the tip of the rod. This is not good because I cannot leave my baits on my rod when I am transporting the fishing pool. I have always bought ugly stick fishing poles because I love how tough they are, but over what I just bought is a flaw. Also by putting the main guide so far away from the reel, on the second piece, my line keeps slapping on my rod when I cast it and creates alot of wind knots. Very disappointing. One more flaw is that the two pieces for the 6 foot is not even. The piece that holds the rod is shorter than the top piece of the rod. This is again very hard for transporting because you have to risk breaking the tip of the rod everytime you transport it. I am not sure if the other size rods are like this but the picture is so deceiving. I would call it false advertisement, however, I do understand that maybe the picture reflects a 7 foot rod or above. If I knew this I would have bought the 7 foot rod instead. Sorry for the rant, but I guess now I cannot trust this brand in the future.
