Watching more movies now
There’s nothing to complain about. It’s easy to install, looks fantastic, has incredible sound quality, and is straightforward to use. It is a bit heavy, though.

Great sound-bar for music
The main reason I purchased this sound-bar is so that I could pair it with my B&O A9 on the covered deck when not watching TV. In this regard it works flawlessly and sounds amazing with Tidal music tracks. As a TV sound bar it paired seamlessly with my New Samsung Terrace outdoor TV. It projects really well, allowing us to watch TV from a distance without cranking the volume. I have not watched a movie yet, but even watching sports you get a sense of the surround capabilities, broadcaster voices come from the center of the screen while crowd noise and other audio affects seem to come from way outside the limits of this bar. I often get the impression that sounds and voices are coming from behind me when there is literally no one for miles. I'm sure there are less expensive sound bars that perform as well but this one looks fantastic, pairs with my other B&O products, and music sounds great as you would expect.

Sheer torture to setup, awesome sound
Even though I bought the Bang & Olufsen recommended LG G4 TV, setup to get the Beosound Stage to communicate with the LG G4 TV was very problematic. The product documentation lacks detail, and the support team from Bang &Olufsen did not have the necessary product knowledge to provide useful advice. HDMI AAC connection to the TV did not work. Came very close to returning the unit, but because I have other B&O equipment I have had prior experience with how painful the setup can be. Eventually got the Beosound Stage to communicate over WiFi using WiSA and enjoy the awesome sound produced by the speaker. But I few months later the speaker disconnected itself from the TV and would not reconnect using WiSA, despite resetting to factory and starting all over again. Finally resorted to using Bluetooth to connect the speaker to the TV. Have not been able to connect the Beosound Stage to Alexa and that is a huge disappointment.Product documentation 1 starProduct support 1 starConnectivity 1 starProduct sound quality 5 starsOverall rating 2 stars because the product requires constant attention and does not integrate with Alexa so I can’t fully use it the way intended.

Chromecast for best sound
I found that the best source for the best sound is to Chromecast from your phone using the Bang and olfson application.

Powerful sound bar, strong bass
I have always been a huge Bang and Olufsen fan and I have multiple speakers from this brand as well, so I'll just rank it from what I have with different aspects:Sound field: A9 4th gen > Beosound Balance > A9 MKI > Beosound stage > HomePod = A6Bass: Beosound stage > A9 4th gen > A9 MKI > Beosound Balance > A6 = HomePodMid~high range(piano, vocal, etc) A9 4th gen> Beosound Balance > A9 MKI > A6 > HomePod > Beosound stageIt is definitely an awesome speaker, you get the best design from B&O, the build quality is immaculate, and as stated by bo, you truly don't need an additional subwoofer to get an enhanced bass. But there are several issues that need to be considered before buying:1. The sound doesn't fill the room. Sure when you volume up this soundbar you can hear it anywhere from the room, but if you have experienced HomePod or A9, it might disappoint you. I tried standing right in front of the speaker and boy that was powerful, but every time I step further away from the speaker, I can clearly feel that power fades a little, even having this speaker hanging on the wall or facing towards the ceiling has a huge effect on the sound.2. The focus of this soundbar is different from other BO speakers. I believe a lot of us who are interested in this speaker are BO fans, but the main focus of this speaker is more on how to imitate the sound effect you can get from a movie theater. Remember the sound effects from the Transformer? This speaker will let you relive that experience with the immersive sound. However, if you use this speaker purely for music, I would rather recommend getting a Balance or even a HomePod stereo.

Beautiful
This is an amazing speaker. Clear and powerful sound without a subwoofer. It is a beautiful piece and I appreciate the ability to customize the sound for music vs an action movie. The first thing my daughter mentioned was that she could “feel” the sound and that is the truth. Even without a subwoofer, the bass is almost tangible. I have found that the unit senses what I am listening to and automatically changes the settings. The setup was straight forward and the template was perfect for getting the placement correct. I have the unit connected to a Sony XBR (from Costco) via the eARC and am using the HDMI cable which came with the Beosound Stage. I have not found a need to upgrade to a more expensive HDMI cable. I have not experienced any lag between the TV and this unit. The B&O app works well and I have a Beoplay M3 in my office linked and enjoy playing my Deezer app through both. I will be adding an A9 and Beosound 2 in the coming months and look forward to the ability to play music throughout my townhome.
