Keeps students engaged/entertained
Growing up I'd play this game with my family. So when a student indicated she had nothing to do during lunch time, I decided to purchase this game. And now my classroom is buzzing with activity and laughter during lunch. I like that the game forces them to think ahead/strategize, etc. I'll admit it is smaller than I expected but I love that its compact design (when closed) keeps all the colored pieces organized and safe when it's time to store it away.

Fun Toy & compact
the toy is not the regular size that you get at target, i would called a mid-size.. this toy is a bit smaller but not very small which is perfect for me to take along on a trip or to restaurant to keep my children busy. i don't give my children screen time when we out so having this toy with us is great keep them occupied. i like this toy because it come as a box if you closed and just flip it up and play so much easy and simple than the one we got before. its easy to play and quality i think is just normal like any other toy doesn't look cheap .

Connect Six, not Connect Four!
I bought this to play with a 91 year old relative who has shown some cognitive decline. I have the original Connect Four game and have used it frequently when working with children in the past. I was excited to come across this game again, thinking it would be perfect - not too easy, not to hard. When it arrived I was dismayed to find that it's NOT the original game! For some unknown reason, the makers of this game decided "more is better" without considering how much harder they made it. Players are still supposed to make a 4 in-a-row line with their chips. When the game is 4 x 4 it's easy to see a row of 4, even diagonally, and it's a success for the players. Trying to understand '4 in-a-row' on a 6 x 6 upright gameboard can be very difficult for someone who still, or again, mostly thinks in concrete terms. If a child has 4 of their colored chips in places 1, 2, 3 & 5 of the board they will tell you "They are in a row. This row, see?"Make sure the ones who will play this game are able to understand 4 in-a-row in a 3D space. Once they understand this concept, they'll be able to move up to this this more challenging 6 x 6 grid (and argue with you about their 4 all-in-one row of 6 chips!).Aside from this issue, the original Connect Four is a lot of fun!

Cute, sturdy, and great value!
I purchased the turquoise with pink and yellow chips- cute color combo! It is surprisingly sturdy for the price and I love how it can be folded up with the pieces stored inside. Great for traveling. Would buy again.

Design Flaw! Game pieces all fall out when game board is closed.
I was excited initially at the size and form factor of this. My daughter loves Connect 4, but I hate how the original game is just a bunch of plastic pieces thrown in a box. I dumped out the pieces into the tray, then folded the grid part down and lifted it up. The pieces immediately started sliding out. There's such a silly design flaw that the little well for holding the chips leaves a big gap, so nothing stays contained inside. Totally silly. This is going back immediately. There appear to be many other products with an almost identical form factor that do not have this flaw.
