Had a long wound on my forearm that needed a large bandage. This with a noninherant pad worked the best and managed until healed

We used these for my husbands burn dressings. They worked very well. It’s more like woven gauze than cottony.

The gauze pads were large enough and it was a good buy.

I’ve looked everywhere locally for large-size 100% cotton gauze dressings, without success. By large I mean big enough to cover 1/2 to 2/3 of my shins . These 8x4 dressings work very well for my needs and I expect to purchase another pack of 50 soon. The reason for my 4-star rating is due to the misleading product description: “Dukal Type VII Gauze Sponges 8" x 4". Pack of 50 Sterile Gauze Dressings 12-ply.” I was happy thinking I purchased 12-ply dressings in a bulk quantity. However, EACH dressing is 6-ply. Using funny math, 2 of the 6-ply dressings applied one on top of the other does create a 12-ply dressing. If that’s Dukal’s intention, it will be helpful to future purchasers to add that note to the product description & packaging. Better yet, change the product description to “pack of 50 6-ply dressings”.
