Samsung microwave
I have a Samsung model SMH1816S microwave and it would power on (start cooking) whenever it's door was closed; very unhandy and dangerous! I found the 'high power' relay on the circuit board was stuck 'on' and rapping it with a screwdriver handle freed it up, but I couldn't trust it to not malfunction again. This Sanyou relay fit nicely, BUT upon measuring the pinout of the old relay I found one pin on it was grounded--and the new Sanyou relay was not. This was a simple fix--I just ran an external wire from the top, outside male pin to ground. The new part works great but be sure to check things out, preferably with an ohmmeter, when installing this item. -=d=-

NOT THE SAME AS SMH-112DMP
This part works like the original in my Frigidaire microwave and was delivered amazingly fast. It did require some modification for my application because of the significant difference between the 112DM and the 112DMP, which is the one I really needed. The 112DM and the 112DMP both have 2 pins for the relay coil and a third pin which on the 112DM is non-functional, used only for mounting. On the 112DMP the third pin is functional, connecting to one spade connector and is also on the opposite side as on the 112DM. So using the 112DM in place of the 112DMP required running a heavy gauge wire from the board to the spade connector. Not difficult if you have some skills. The big question regarding these relays, which are used on many different brands, is why do they go bad so soon, in my case 2 1/2 years. Also, why does the connection plug to the relay get so hot that the plastic melts. Whoever is designing microwaves these days is not doing a very good job. The one I had previously lasted 20 years with zero problems.

Electrical relay
Or microwave quit working and with some digging around on the circuit board I figured out the relay was bad. I looked up the number on the relay and it was on Amazon, I ordered it, got the relay and soldered it on to the circuit board replacing the old one. The microwave now works perfectly again.

Fixed my microwave
It had been a long time since I had done component level appliance repair, but I really didn’t want to replace the whole microwave. Fortunately, the magnetron relay was faulty, and easy to replace.

Perfect!
This was a perfect replacement for the bad relay in my Magic Chef microwave. Everything appeared to be working but the microwave had no heat. I replaced the relay and now it's working again. 😁
