Great guitar for the money.
This is a great guitar for those on a tight budget. I was tired of using effects to give my electric guitars an acoustic sound when recording. I have a 12 string acoustic but I needed a good six string. This Epiphone did the trick....at a very affordable cost. I did change the strings to a custom light set (for ease of playing) although the standard strings sounded great. A VERY well built guitar for the price and it sounds and plays great. If you're in the market for an inexpensive acoustic, don't hesitate a minute about buying this one.

Great sound, light action, smooth fret board, tough built
For the money this guitar has a beautiful sound! I play many brands, such as Martin. Gibson, Fender, Elly, Epiphone, Taylor, Takamine, and many others and this guitar has a sound that plays with them all. As far a bang for the buck this is my top guy. I have had mine for 3 years now, and have never put it in a case. Bought it for a throw around campfire guitar and fell in love with its light action and smooth fret board and durable build.

One Star
A good beginner guitar to play, fairly good construction of materials and for it`s large jumbo size, TONALITY-WISE, fair.

Nice guitar after proper setup
The guitar was well packaged & arrived via UPS intact. Overall the guitar is surprisingly nice for the price. The wood grain is beautiful, the finish is perfect, great tuners, ebony bridge, but plastic saddle. Not a blemish anywhere. After tuning, it sounds good for it's price. A beautiful beginner guitar(sounds better after changing the cheap strings-Elixir Poly's). Unlike the HSN/QVC guitars that are mostly crap & people give up on, the AJ-100 will keep a beginner playing and wanting to learn. It does NOT have the NanoMag(and Stereo) as stated in the description, it only has the NanoFlex. The piezo is wired directly to the input jack. Plugged into my amp, it sounded mediocre at best. For it to play very well, you'll either have to pay a luthier to setup or do it yourself. String height at the 12th fret was very high at at 8/64ths. After several days of truss rod adjustment and sanding the saddle(Search YouTube for acoustic setup), I had to take a tad over 1/8" off the saddle, it played suitable and sounded good. Since everything turned out well, I tossed the NanoFlex Piezo and bought the Martin t4 EQ(Amazon sells several types). The Martin piezo is thinner so I had to shim the saddle. The Martin electronics really bring the sound to life when plugged into my amp. I'm amazed a cheap guitar with some work and good electronics($23) now plays and sounds quite good. If you're a beginner looking for a cheap guitar to start learning, I would recommend the AJ but as any mail order guitar, it will need setup work. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that I believe Epiphone should send their guitars out set to their recommended settings(string height) and at least enough tension on the truss rod to keep the neck from arching to much when tuned to standard tuning. Guitar stores & luthiers are disappearing and it's not appealing to pay $150 for a guitar & $100 to a luthier to set it up.

This guitar came setup all I did was tune it. Has a very good sound and the finish is beautiful. I have other guitars and this is by far the better sounding.

Buena relacion calidad precio.

This is a beautiful guitar, with a great sound, early days but it appears to hold its tuning very well. I should make the point that unlike a lot of electro acoustic guitars, this does not have a built in pre amp, volume nobs or all that stuff. The only sign that this is an electro acoustic is that there is a hole in the middle of the strap fixing knob that takes a jack plug. Hence when you want to play it through an amp, you have to either play it through a microphone channel or get a pre amp and then another lead to put it through a guitar channel on an amp. This does not need to be expensive. I teamed mine up with a guitar lead to a Behringer acoustic pre amp (about £22), then a guitar lead from that pre amp to a Fender Acoustasonic 15 watt amplifier - and I reckon the sound is superb - and easily loud enough to get the neighbours complaining. I just need to learn to play it now! I realise a lot of this may be obvious to experienced users of electro acoustic guitars, but not to everybody just setting out...
